About Pappy

Pappy is an online store that is run by Pappy & Company, a bourbon-making company that was established in 2013 and is believed to be the culmination of the Van Winkle, bourbon-making legacy. Founded by the fourth-generation Van Winkles, Louise, Chenault, and Carrie Van Winkle; Pappy is seen as their attempt at also offering the goodness of the Van Winkle bourbon-making legacy with their friends, and other bourbon aficionados.

The Van Winkle bourbon legacy started in 1893 when Pappy Van Winkle graduated from Centre College to become a whiskey salesman. He later partnered with A Ph Stitzel, and Alex Farnsley to begin making, what was later termed one of the finest bourbons of the time. Pappy VanWinkle was only interested in making fine bourbon; it didn?t matter if the fine bourbon was made at a profit or a loss. And this is part of the legacy that is believed to have been passed down as the reigns were transferred from one Van Winkle to another.

Products and Services of Pappy

Although the Van Winkle legacy was all about making bourbon, Pappy & Company has expanded on that by introducing a catalog of bourbon-inspired lifestyle goods. All of which are acclaimed to be made with the same dedication to quality as the original Van Winkle bourbon. Besides offering their customers aged bourbon in a variety of packages, and quantities; Pappy also retails bourbon balls, barrel-aged pepper sauce, barrel-aged maple sauce, barrel-aged coffee, and a variety of other bourbon related eatables. Alongside this, they also stock on classic bourbon drinking apparel such as hats, whiskey t-shirts, and woven belts.

To make their collection of bourbon drinking accessories complete, Pappy introduced a line of Van Winkle cigars in 2014. These include traditional, and barrel-fermented cigars of various sizes; all of which are sold in boxes of 10. Pappy delivers their products to all regions of the US, and they also offer a 30-day return period for them (7 days for cigars).
