The origins of the name. You may be familiar with the same-named bubbly-bourbon cocktail. A recipe for the pre-Prohibition drink was discovered on an old menu by the bar director of the fabled Seelbach Hotel in 1995. The Seelbach cocktail is made out of a sloppy Champagne cocktail and a Manhattan. The cocktail was well-received. It was popular during its peak in the early 1900s and again in the late 1990s. There was just one issue. The entire narrative was fabricated by the bartender! The Seelbach story spread like wildfire, as it does with most wonderful stories. Seelbach's is a bar dedicated to unusual spirits. Only genuine craft spirits are available for purchase. The products of these distilleries are distilled. They use small batch blending techniques.
