    I've been using this platform to plan events for about a year now, starting out on the south coast and then switching to a different city. The website really is a great place to post events for strangers, and they have good verification checks in place to tell real accounts from fake ones. In my experience, I haven't had any big problems, just some occasional 502/503/505 cookie errors that they should really fix.<br><br>There are definitely a lot of fake reviews on this platform from people who might be misusing it or trying to rip off members. Trustpilot needs to pay more attention to these reviews to make sure they're real and honest.

    Non-profit account billing issue

    My non-profit group hadn't used Meetup in almost three years, but we recently got hit with surprise credit card charges for services we weren't even using. We've tried reaching out to Meetup through different officers, even the old president who first signed us up, but canceling has been a hassle. They keep giving us excuses and dragging their feet, making the whole process a pain. It's really frustrating to see them handle customer issues this way.

    Account login issue

    I'm so mad about what happened when I tried to log into my account. I swear my login details were right, but for some reason I couldn't get in. And it's not like I was using the account all the time, so I couldn't have forgotten my password. I tried to reset it, but it didn't work. I even tried making a new account, but had the same problem. Maybe other sites like it are better now.

    It's so annoying that the customer service team can't even deal with a basic notification problem. I've been struggling for weeks to find out why I'm only getting certain event notifications and not others, even though I've checked all my settings. It's crazy that no one on their team can solve this. It's really frustrating that they don't bother to take care of these issues, making their customer service totally worthless.

    I had a really bad experience with Meetup customer service. They charged me too much, said they'd give me a credit instead of a refund, and then just ignored all my questions. They were totally unprofessional and didn't seem to care about their customers at all.

    Organizers too expensive!

    Meetup is just way too pricey for organizers. I mean, they want over $200 bucks annually for a basic account - that's insane! And to top it off, I can't even find a way to get in touch with customer service to voice my complaints. And let me tell you, their customer service is seriously lacking. They seriously need to improve that aspect.

    I'm a Meetup customer and I ran into some problems trying to cancel my subscription. I kept emailing them to cancel, but they kept charging me. It was super annoying and inconvenient. I felt like they weren't listening to me and I was really unhappy with their service. Finally, after sending them 8 messages, I was able to get a refund. I'm glad they fixed the issue, but it shouldn't have been such a hassle in the first place. They really need to work on their communication and customer service.

    As a leader of a professional group on Meetup, I've come across a lot of challenges trying to organize events and get support from the company. It takes a lot of time and hard work to build a strong community, so it's frustrating when the platform doesn't give us the help we need. Meetup should focus on meeting the needs of its users and improving communication to resolve issues.

    Event organizing platform

    The event organizing platform is just not working right. It's showing the wrong days, not saving changes, and messages won't go through. I tried contacting customer service and did everything they said - reinstalled the apps, cleared cookies - but nothing's fixed. Both the organizer and regular app are so slow, it's making planning events a total headache. It's taking all the fun out of it.

    This service was a total nightmare. I got myself into a subscription that I couldn't figure out how to cancel for more than a year because I couldn't freakin' log in! I tried hitting them up through email a bunch of times, but no one ever got back to me. After a while, I realized they had my old email address, and once I sorted that out and finally canceled, they wouldn't even give me a refund, even though I hadn't used the service in a whole dang year! I gotta say, their lack of communication and total disregard for customer service really ticked me off.

    Subscription for service

    I signed up for this service and tried it out once, but then I wanted to cancel. However, even after I canceled, the company kept charging my account without asking me. I sent them a bunch of emails trying to sort it out, but never heard back from them. As a final try to get them to pay attention, I even wrote up a letter offering to help them out as a software engineer to make sure this didn't happen again. But it was a no-go, and I never got my money back or even a simple "whoops, sorry" from them.

    Group creation experience

    My experience trying to create a group on this platform was so annoying because of a technical problem with a promo code. I tried really hard but couldn't find a customer service number to help fix the issue. It's frustrating to not have easy access to customer service in this day and age. Not having a support team ready to help customers is just not okay and really messes up the whole user experience. Companies have got to make customer support a top priority to make sure people have a good time using their platform.
