Tools and gardening supplies
When you go to hardware stores, the service can really make or break your experience. Thankfully, the staff at this store really know how to treat their customers right. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by friendly faces ready to help me find what I needed. There was no wandering around or struggling to find assistance - they were right there, eager to help me every step of the way. I appreciate the dedication and knowledge that each employee brings, making my shopping trip easy. Whether it was a new employee or a seasoned pro, they were all on top of their game. I've been a customer here for a while now, and they never fail to impress me. Great job, team! Keep up the good work.
Good options
I was looking for some online options for buying paints and other supplies. After looking for different stores and sites, i found this one. Well the price was first thing that attracted me. Its much better than the sites i visited before. Also they have reasonable prices which is good in my case . The store is also good if you are looking for one type of item for a little long run, they have the stock which is really helpful. I bought the paints from here and turned out much better in terms of money-saving. Good services is another cherry on the top thing here, So i recommend to try it out
Power tools
Hey, just wanted to give a heads up to anyone thinking about downloading that app for the promised $5 reward - it's not worth it. I got sucked in too and didn't get anything out of it. The app is a total waste, always wanting to know exactly where you are even though you already gave them your zip code. It's obvious they're just trying to grab as much personal info as they can.
Paint and brushes
I went to the store with my mom to get some awesome paint and brushes. They had so many colors to pick from - it was hard to decide! The brushes were really good quality and didn't fall apart like the cheap ones I've used in the past. I ended up painting a picture for my grandma, and she absolutely loved it!
Compost bags purchase
Ace Hardware really dropped the ball with their internet situation. I was trying to order some compost bags, but the website was all messed up and didn't even tell me where the items were located. So instead, I got hit with a massive shipping charge to send it all the way from Georgia to California. And when I tried to reach out to them for help, they kept dodging me and never followed through like they said they would. And to add insult to injury, they couldn't even spell my name or the word "compost" correctly in the emails they sent. It was a total mess!
Grill purchase
I bought a grill from the hardware store and let me tell you, the delivery service was a nightmare. They were supposed to give me a heads up call before dropping it off, but nope, never happened. They just left it in some random hidden spot and we ended up scouring the whole neighborhood, freaking out thinking it got swiped. And when I reached out to the manager, all I got was a lame "Sorry," no offer for anything to make up for the trouble or even a little empathy. Definitely left a bad taste in my mouth, crappy customer service all around.
Recent hardware purchase
I went to the hardware store the other day and had a great experience. The staff, especially Matt and Nathan, really went out of their way to help me out. I was really impressed by how knowledgeable and friendly they were. It was nice to see such good customer service for a change.
Gardening tools
I just picked up some gardening tools from that hardware store and they were really top-notch. But man, one of the employees there was totally unprofessional and it kinda bummed me out.
Hedge trimmer purchase
I bought a hedge trimmer at this hardware store, and let me tell you, it was not a great experience. I forked over my cash 3 days ago and it just got here today. When I brought up the warranty, the guy working there basically blew me off and said to deal with the manufacturer for any problems. Then I asked about returning it if it doesn't do the job, and he gave me a totally pointless and not helpful answer. The service at this Ace store was seriously lacking, if you ask me.
Power drill
I just bought a power drill from Ace Hardware, but out of nowhere, they canceled my order. It looks like they don't keep their website inventory up to date because the drill was still showing as in stock. This actually happened to my sister too, so it's not the first time in my family. It's just so annoying when you need something for a specific job and then it's suddenly not available.
Toilet purchase
I just bought a toilet at Ace Hardware and honestly, it didn't go well at all. The person helping me out seemed to struggle with English, so we had a hard time understanding each other. I went with the Kris Kloset duduk mono block putih model based on the recommendation of the consultant who assured me that it would flush toilet paper. But after installing it, I found out that it didn't work as advertised and couldn't flush toilet paper. I was pretty bummed out since I've never had a bad experience shopping there before.
Collectible knife
I bought this cool collectible knife online from the Ace Hardware website and chose store pick-up. But when I got to my local store to grab it, I saw that the employee had already checked it off as delivered, even though the box was all beat up. I told them about the mix-up and gave the knife back, but they told me to just take it. I decided to pass and left to reach out to customer service.
Overpriced hardware products
Man, it's really disappointing how much that little hardware store in town is charging for stuff. I was all about wanting to help out a small business, but when their prices are twice as much as other places, it's tough to make that work. I'll just keep heading to the big stores to find better deals instead.
Faulty item return and customer service experience
I had a rough time at Ace Hardware the other day. I bought something that didn't work right, and when I tried to take it back along with something else I didn't need, they gave me a hard time. The lady I talked to was not very friendly, and she wouldn't take back the thing I didn't use. She wouldn't budge or tell me why. The vibe there was not cool at all, totally different from the other Ace Hardware I've been to.
Donation request for local Eagle Scouts project
Don't even bother trying to ask for help from that place. My son needed a sheet of plywood for his Eagle Scouts project, and they just left him hanging for months despite calling multiple times, just to tell us no. It's really frustrating and disappointing. Definitely not the kind of place that's customer-friendly or community-minded.
Defective pressure washer
I just bought a pressure washer from Ace Hardware and, man, was I bummed when I found out it was defective right off the bat! So, I talked to the employees and the manager, hoping for some help, and all they did was blame the manufacturer and call it a warranty issue. They didn't offer me any support or solutions, and I ended up having to fork out more cash at another store to get a replacement. Just a heads up, folks - don't expect much help from Ace Hardware when it comes to big purchases.
Spray Paint
This review is for Arties Ace Hardware, Paradise Valley, Phoenix Arizona.
I have shopped at this store for years and have been happy with their service, until today, I will never shop there again. I went in to the store to buy spray paint. There was a young man working in the paint department stocking spray paint. The case doors were locked and I asked him if he could unlocked the door to the case where I wanted to get a can of spray paint. He told me that I would have to wait until he was done stocking the paint in a box he had in his hands. I said to him that I guess my time wasn't valuable. He finally stopped and unlocked the paint case. I told him thank you and I would get out of his way very quickly. He did not reply . He was very rude! I guess being an old lady he didn't any respect for me. I will not shop there again. I will go to Home Depot.
