    Rented a deck sander

    On May 7th I entered the Equipment Rental Dept. of Home Depot in Salem, MA. This is located on Traders Way. I had the fortune of being waited on by a young man by the name of Isaiah Lopes. He seemed timid and stand offish at very first....but quietly built my confidence that he knew what he was talking about. I was a bit of a challenge at first as he was directing me to a piece of equipment that had not been recommended on my prior visit to the Dept. He was very good at explaining how to use the equipment, the materials I would need, estimated well how much I would need but recommended I buy extra, just in case, and assured me the unused could be returned. The most impressive part was that after I told him I did not have a smart phone to watch the online tutorial he recommended, he pulled it up on his computer and told me I could watch it while he waited on another customer. I accepted his offer to help me load the machine in my car and at that time asked him what he was studying in school. When he told me-Nursing- it made sense that his training in anticipating a customer's needs and concern for the customer was obvious at this time. I hope that all he brings to his job at Home Depot is appreciated.

    Home renovation materials

    I've been going to Home Depot for a while now and with my Pro Xtra account, I end up there a lot, especially when I need stuff for home renovations. They've got a ton of materials - wood, tiles, stuff for kitchens and bathrooms, even electrical supplies. And it's awesome that they're open every day of the week, so I can shop whenever I need to. The people who work there are always nice and ready to help me out with any questions I have. Plus, their return policy is pretty fair. I definitely suggest Home Depot for anyone looking to do some home improvement projects.

    Kitchen cabinets

    Before you go and buy kitchen cabinets from that store, I suggest you check out this YouTube video called "REVIEW OF AMERICAN WOODMARK CABINETS AND HOME DEPOT". It really gives you some good info and tips about the cabinet brands they have at Home Depot and other places. It's smart to do your homework and know the scoop on those products before you drop a bunch of cash.

    I just got a new fence from this store, but they had Buzz Fence Company do the work. After it got done, nobody from the store checked in with me, and I had to fork over all the money right away. We had some issues with the contractor, and I think Home Depot needs to do better at keeping an eye on things when they hire outside companies.

    Garage door opener with installation

    I decided to order a garage door opener with installation online because it was cheaper than buying it in person at the store. But, after waiting for weeks, I noticed that the pending charge had disappeared. So, I went to the store to ask what was up. To my surprise, they told me they weren't responsible for online orders and that the installers weren't responding. They basically gave me two options: pay the higher in-store price or find somewhere else to get it done. When I asked to speak to the supervisors, they refused to come out because they were too busy. Now I'm a senior citizen back at square one, looking for an affordable garage door opener with installation. I don't really want to risk dealing with the rain or extreme heat to manually open and close my garage door. I've gone to the store multiple times, but I still don't have any new information or a solution, despite what the signs in-store claim.

    Sliding door replacements

    I bought two sliding doors, and they were a complete disaster. One was missing a piece, and the other had a big black streak on it. Can you believe that? I had to deal with all the back and forth between the store and the vendor just to get it fixed.

    Fence repair materials purchase

    My recent experience with ordering stuff online from the store was a total bummer. I picked next day delivery for some fence repair materials I needed, but when I called to check on the status, it turns out my order wasn't even in their system. It took a bunch of tries and making a big deal before they finally found my order. And then, to top it off, they wanted to deliver it at 3 in the morning, which messed up my work crew's plans big time. All in all, I was left feeling super frustrated and let down by the whole situation.

    Large appliance purchase

    I just bought a big appliance from this store, but I gotta say, I'm really disappointed with how the delivery and customer service went down. I set up the delivery for a Saturday since I was off work that day and needed the appliance then. But on the actual delivery day, I got a call saying they couldn't deliver it because the pedestal was damaged. It was annoying because I took the day off and it would've been nice if they told me earlier when the damage happened.

    Fridge purchase

    I recently bought a fridge from this home improvement store, but man, what a mess. The whole process, from ordering to delivery, was a disaster. When they brought the fridge, I saw a big dent on the front. I called customer service like they said, and they told me they'd send a new one in two weeks. But then I found out that not only did it mess up my laminate floor during installation, but it also damaged my driveway. What a headache.

    Appliance Installation Nightmare

    I recently bought 3 appliances at Home Depot and decided to use their installation services. It was a total disaster from beginning to end. The installation teams they sent were really terrible and kept making all sorts of mistakes. And to make things worse, they sent all the problems to a company known for being terrible, making things even more difficult. The first team didn't even connect the steam function on the washer correctly, so a second team had to come out. But this second team not only failed to fix the steam function, they also left the vinyl flooring in a dangerous position, which could cause someone to trip. The third party contractor they sent later refused to fix the mistake, so now our laundry room looks like a disaster.

    Composite decking purchase

    I recently bought some composite decking at the store and it was a total nightmare. They said it would take 14 days to get my order, but I didn't actually get it until February 28th, over four months later. And even then, not everything I ordered showed up. When I tried to talk to the manager about it, they acted like they didn't care at all. Every time I called for an update, I got a different story, or I'd get hung up on or bounced around to different people who couldn't help. It was so frustrating and I won't be going back there again.

    Shed purchase with credit issues

    I had a frustrating experience with my shed purchase at the store. I opened a line of credit to get a discount on the shed, but had some issues with the payment process. I was approved for $1000 on the store card, but when I tried to pay the remaining balance of $1600, the payment got declined. I had to make multiple phone calls, texts, and fill out forms to try to fix the issue, but it ended up being a waste of over two hours of my time. I eventually had to cancel the order and close the line of credit. It was a disappointing experience, so I'll definitely be taking my business elsewhere.

    Washer Dryer purchase

    My experience with Home Depot has been super disappointing. I bought a washer dryer at the end of February and was told to stay home all day on a Saturday for delivery. But guess what? The items never came. I called and found out that Home Depot didn't even have them in stock. The same thing happened the next week. I ended up canceling my order, but it's April 4th now and I still haven't gotten my refund. When I called customer service, I was stuck on hold for 26 minutes. Overall, Home Depot's service has been totally unreliable and frustrating.

    Front and rear door purchase and installation.

    The door installation service I got from Home Depot was a total mess. First, the doors were messed up, then the measurements were off on the replacement set. The contractor did a pretty lousy job fixing the mistakes, just using sealant and flimsy plastic stuff. The doors look awful, and now I need to get them fixed or replaced. Home Depot was no help when I asked for a refund, they just brushed me off. I won't be using them for home improvements again, that's for sure.
