Old-school Stairmaster
I just bought this cool old-school Stairmaster from a fitness store, and let me tell you, it was a great experience. When I walked in, Ted G., the manager, was super friendly and helpful, giving me top-notch customer service. Even with my picky requests, Ted was able to help me find the perfect equipment. The Stairmaster has been working like a charm since I got it home, and I'm thrilled with my purchase. Huge thanks to Ted for being so awesome and professional!
Matrix treadmill purchase
I gotta tell ya, I splurged on a fancy treadmill for my at-home workouts and I'm absolutely blown away. Yeah, it cost more than some other options out there, but let me tell ya, the quality and performance are just out of this world. I've been loving every minute of my runs on it for the past couple weeks, and I know it's gonna be a staple in my workout routine for a long time to come.
Matrix CXC Indoor Training Cycle purchase
I just bought this fancy indoor training bike that has a cool LCD screen, but I gotta be honest - I'm not too happy with the console. Even though the bike itself is pretty solid, the display doesn't show important stuff like bike speed, which is a basic thing you'd expect. Plus, the screen light doesn't stay on long enough to actually see anything. When I asked the store people about it, they said there's no other console that works with this bike, which seems pretty ridiculous considering how much I shelled out for it.
Treadmill purchase
So, I ordered this treadmill but ended up having second thoughts. I didn't even use it, just opened the box and now I want to return it. But you know what? They're not letting me return it without a fee just because I broke the seal! So not cool, dude.
Treadmill purchase, 12-week repair wait
My experience buying a treadmill from this company has been pretty terrible. After only two months, it broke down and I've been waiting for 12 weeks to get it fixed. The customer service has been basically non-existent, which has left me feeling really frustrated and let down. I was hoping for better from a company that's all about fitness and wellness.
Treadmill T303
I just got a Treadmill T303 from this company and it came damaged, which really sucked. I tried hitting up their customer service multiple times through email and phone, but got no response at all. It was super frustrating to not get any help after dropping a good chunk of change on a brand new treadmill.
Recumbent bike purchase with trade-in
I just bought a recumbent bike from this store and decided to trade in my old equipment. The guy helping me, Erick V., said he'd give me $125 for my old stuff after I sent him some pictures. Even though I knew it was worth more, he stuck to that number. To make up for it, I got a $200 discount on the new bike. The delivery team took apart my old equipment at my house and said they'd put it back together at the store. But a week later, Erick called me and said my stuff smelled like dog pee and had a leaky bearing, so now they wouldn't pay me anything for it. I think they never even bothered to put it back together. This whole thing has made me feel tricked and annoyed by their trade-in process. Watch out if you're thinking about doing business with them.
Eleptical purchase
I recently splurged on an elliptical machine and now I'm moving to a new place. I heard this store offers tech assistance for moving it, which sounded great. But I've visited the store twice and reached out to customer service three times via text, and haven't gotten any response. I'm starting to wonder if they even exist! It feels like a total scam.
Elliptical trade-in experience
My time at the Arlington store in TX was a real letdown. They were not straight with me about selling or trading in my elliptical. And don't even get me started on the Southlake store! When I asked about trading in my elliptical, they lowballed me with just $200. My elliptical is practically brand new and worth way more, at least $2000. It's only two years old! This shady business behavior is really disappointing and makes the company look really bad.
Horizon Treadmill
I bought a treadmill from this company not too long ago, and let me tell you, it's been a real letdown. The top console on the treadmill crapped out on me back in April 2021, making the whole thing useless. I had to wait more than four months for them to finally ship me a replacement part, even though I called them multiple times. Every time I called, they promised me it would ship out that day, but it never did. It wasn't until I demanded to talk to a manager that they finally got their act together and sent me the replacement part. Man, what a headache!
Treadmill purchase experience
I recently bought a treadmill from Johnson Fitness and Wellness and it was a total headache. When I put it together, I realized that the holes and screws didn't line up right, so it was a pain to set up and took forever. It was so frustrating to spend money on a piece of exercise equipment just to have such a basic problem with how it was made. I would suggest looking somewhere else for your fitness gear and avoiding this company altogether.
Synca Kagra massage chair
I got a massage chair from this store and it came with a 3-year warranty. But when the chair started acting up, dealing with customer service was a nightmare. I first talked to Phil in the store and he was nice, and he said the warranty would cover the issues. But after waiting for weeks for an appointment that never happened, I called back and was told they had no record of my problem. They said they didn't have any technicians available, but could send someone to check it out. After even more waiting and no updates, I figured out that the warranty wasn't worth much at all.
Horizon Fitness GR7 stationary exercise bike
The Horizon Fitness GR7 stationary exercise bike I bought for about $1,500 has been a real letdown. The bluetooth signal for power exertion and connecting to cycling apps like Zwift just doesn't work right. After months of trying to get it fixed, the UK engineer sent by Johnson Health Tech (JHT) said the bike couldn't be repaired. Even though it's under warranty, they didn't offer any help to solve the problem. Adele and the folks at JHT were nice, but didn't really do anything to fix the known issue with the bike. Now I'm stuck with a broken piece of equipment and have to turn to big retailers for help since the manufacturers can't seem to figure it out.
