About Lindy Electronics

The group of companies associated with Lindy Electronics can be traced way back to 1932 in Germany. It was here that Kurt Lindenberg selling gas lamps and new age electrical appliances of the time, founded the small family business. With a brief interlude for war purposes, the company moved to Mannheim where Lindy Germany is still based today. In 1949 the influence if Kurt’s son saw a focus towards industrial electrical and electronic products, with distribution expanding across the country. As demand for radios and televisions exploded in the 1950’s, Lindy grew to meet these demands. The 1970’s observed a switch almost completely to electronic components and equipment, as well as the creation of the Lindy logo and the Lindy Electronic Station. Meanwhile, a colleague was also working on making links between the company and the America where the boom of computers was already taking place, officially opening the Lindy UK brand in 1987. Since then Lindy has expanded to all corners of the world to form a multinational group of independent companies working under the same name.

The online store groups products into the following categories; newproducts – keeping you up to date with the latest gear, cables and adapters, video and audio, USB and Thunderbolt, networking, KVM, components and tools, power, and accessories. Cables and adapters cover products such as HDMI, DisplayPort, games consoles, satellites, firewire, cromo and gold ranges, apple products, and instrument cables. Audio and video items include headphones, converters and scalers, pattern generators, USB to audio/video, extenders, wall plates, splitters and switches. The USB section provides all necessary USB equipment such as security, hubs, add-on cards, drive enclosures and card readers. Networking products include patch panels, network cables, remoteaccess and VOIP accessories. Extenders, switches and consoles for KVM’s are sold online. There is a large range of components and tools such as drive caddies, testers and anti-static bags.

All orders received before 5pm are dispatched the same day subject to stock availability. Free next day delivery is available on orders over £75. Royal Mail first class delivery is £2.99 for orders less than 1kg in weight and less than £75 in value.
