I put a lot of thought into it and did some research before deciding to buy a pair of slim dungarees. The quality and how they were made were really impressive, and I couldn't wait to get them. But when I tried them on, the sizing was off. I tried exchanging them for a different size, but the second one didn't fit right either. When I tried to exchange them again for the right size, the customer service person told me there was a policy that didn't allow more exchanges or returns. I checked the website and couldn't find anything about that. Even after pointing that out, they didn't care and I was left feeling frustrated. My whole experience with their customer service really let me down and now I see the brand differently.
Merino t-shirts for husband
Recently, I got my husband two merino t-shirts from this store, and I gotta say, he's really lovin' them. The fabric is top-notch quality and they fit him just right. The customer service was great too - the staff really knew their stuff and helped me pick out the perfect size. Overall, I'm super happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend this store to anyone on the hunt for some high-quality clothes.
Garden weeder purchase
I just bought this garden weeder from an ad online, and man, what a let-down. It arrived all broken and the materials were seriously cheap. The instructions were a mess, and the plastic parts got all scratched up super easily when I was trying to put it together. I couldn't believe how flimsy and low-quality it was, especially since it's supposed to hold up in the garden. It was a total waste of money, and I wouldn't suggest it to anyone.
International shipping experience
As a customer ordering from OUTLIER outside the US, I was bummed to find out about unexpected duties when my package arrived. Nobody gave me a heads up about that extra cost. On top of that, I learned that if I said no to the delivery because of the high duties, I couldn't even get a refund. That lack of options really got on my nerves. And to make things worse, sending the package back to OUTLIER would have cost me a pretty penny. All in all, my international shipping experience with OUTLIER was a letdown.
High-performance trousers
I bought a pair of high-performance pants from this company, expecting top-notch quality and excellent customer service. Unfortunately, dealing with their ordering and communication was pretty disappointing.
High customs tax
Watch out for the high customs tax for customers outside of the US, like $125USD to the Philippines. If you need to return or reject your order, you'll have to pay the customs tax and return shipping fee. Keep in mind that there won't be any refunds if you reject your order via UPS. This comparison to UNBOUND MERINO, who didn't charge customs tax, shows a problem with how the orders are invoiced.
2 pairs of pants
I bought 2 pairs of pants and man, I was really bummed when I found out there was just one shipping option that cost me $25.00 USD through UPS. And get this - when UPS dropped off my package, they wanted another $106.08 for brokerage fees! It was such a shock and super irritating. If I had known about those crazy extra costs up front, I definitely would've passed on buying those pants. This whole thing was a total bummer and has me feeling let down. I don't think I'll be ordering from this company again.
