    A barn door

    I do not recommend using White Shanty to purchase your custom barn door strictly on service alone. I have not even received the product yet but the delayed process and poor customer experience leads me to post this negative review. If you order expect to receive your door 30-60 past the expected due date. I hope I don't have to come back and post another review in regards to the product quality.

    Bypass barn door

    ordered bypass barn door in May 2021, arrived after repeated calls a month late missing parts. Had to call back multiple times and then got packages missing parts again. This happened 3 more times. Called 12/7 about missing track (bypass door needs 2 you idiots) and David Dent said the ordered for the rail did not go through, yet again.

    Any bets it will be shipped????

    David said he was sorry - must do that dozens of times daily. His company does not care. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!

    3 large wood barn doors and hardware

    Really disapointed with this company.

    I will say that the wood doors are beautiful and well made, however I will not order from them again for the following reasons:

    - all the hardware received was poorly finished
    - the rail was not a single piece
    - there were some hardware pieces missing
    - they will not accept any hardware returns
    - customer service was terrible at attempting to correct the above
    - delivery was a mess due to the size and weight of the package (maybe this is an issue with the freight service?)

    Ordering was very good with King. Delivery was dropped off in middle of my driveway. I caught them as they were driving off and asked if they could put in my double car garage and told delivery guys that I had ten minutes to check and accept the order (as was told by White Shanty). Delivery guys said we have another order down the road to drop off and we'll be back...ha ha knew I would never see them again. Box did have a hole in it that I wanted to check out and everything did seem fine with the packaging. In two weeks the barn door was laid out to stain and noticed that the planks that were to be ... to the "frame" had starter ... holes in the "tongue and grove" section of the door. This was a big mistake on Shanty's part. I could not reach Shanty for explanation of this and was stuck with the screws going through the "tongue and grove" areas. I finally got through to tell Shanty that the package was "dropped" off and there was nothing to sign at all from delivery. And no instructions on putting the door together. Had to research for the guide assembly for this door on the internet. After explaining to Shanty about there was no sign off for delivery he said "that's ok". Well if I hadn't called I could have just ignored it and told Shanty that I was still waiting for my order! They had no proof it was delivered and got the idea they didn't care much about anything once it was in the mail. They just like taking your order and I wouldn't recommended any products from them.

    We ordered our French glass barn doors in March 2021, advised 6 to 8 weeks. We called numerous times for eta and could not get a straight answer. Doors were finally delivered June 16 and problems began. The delivery people outsourced to another company and they scratched our whole driveway dragging the crate to our garage.They wanted pictures of the person dragging the crate which of course we were not available so they won't refund us. In opening the crate, no instructions found, my contractor had to try and make sense of the pieces. We noticed the black paint on hardware is peeling off. Looking at doors, the frame that makes the French style paneling , is unglued from glass. Called customer service spoke to one supervisor ,sent him pictures, weekly followups and littlr progress. We did get a response that they can send us glue and paint to fix our 3000.00???? We finally speak to another supervisor, send him pictures ,provide in depth situation and also informed him that our contractor can't wait for additional doors to be sent as he has other jobs to tend to so I requested some type of compensation due to the issues we are having...at first it was yes but then he needed to speak to the office manager. Here we are Sept 01, we are now told that they cannot pick up the old doors ,asked us to discard them and they will send new doors out which will take 6 to 8 weeks and no compensation.We have asked for a full refund and dismissed us. Taking this to BBB.
    If you read everyone's complaints on this website , quite a few similarities. Stay away from white shanty.

    Ordered 2 doors in June, 2020 and still do not have the components to be able to hang…..that’s right, over 14 months with no bedroom door for new home. Delayed production, components falling out of crate during shipping, shipping to wrong address, scratched door handles, rusting tracks, missing hardware, false promises, and over 50 phone calls, and numerous unanswered emails to 5 different people.

    Custom Barn Door

    I ordered a custom barn door on 3/31/21 for our master bath remodel. Craig King said door would ship w/in 6-8 weeks, but probably less. I received an email in early May that the estimated ship date was the week of 5/24. It is now 6/11/21 and no door and no estimated ship date. And they've had our money since 3/31/21!
    I've called numerous times and no one can give an estimated ship date. First they said production was behind, then they said they were waiting on wood and paint. Jill even said she didn't know why anyone would quote delivery in 6-8 weeks because "production was behind." Yet their website today still says "Orders Ship in 3-6 Weeks with Regular Updates." Which is a COMPLETE LIE as I received one email update that the door was shipping the week of 5/24/21, which has now passed and no updates unless I call and continue to hound them. And even then when I call NO ONE can give me an update on estimated shipping date. Now they are saying they are waiting on the glass/mirror. This seems to be a pattern after reading several bad reviews on other pages. When I brought up cancelling my order they then said that there would be a cancellation fee and the door had been made, but just waiting on the glass/mirror. That was new because a few days prior they said they hadn't even started on the door. I've left messages with supervisors and they never return my calls. I am kicking myself for not investigating this company more before ordering a $2,000 custom door. I am normally suspicious by nature, but Craig King was very nice and came across very trustworthy. DON'T BE FOOLED! Now I am stuck trying to decide if I even want to wait for the door from them as other reviews talk about the terrible quality and missing parts for the tracks or start all over trying to find an alternate door that most likely will have a lead time of at least 4 weeks or more and our project is now completed... except the door. I would recommend saving yourself the stress now and DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

    Update: We received a barn door on 7/2/21 BUT it was NOT the door we ordered!!! The door we ordered was actually a door on their website... a mirrored door with a geometric grid pattern over the mirror and a plain flat panel on the back. The door arrived with a mirror on one side with NO geometric grid pattern, and the other side was painted white with the white geometric grid pattern on it. Who would go the trouble of doing a white geometric grid pattern on white that you can't even see?? After numerous call we are now 5 weeks in on waiting on them to remake the door correctly. The two options they gave us was to find someone to "fix" the door (at their expense) that they made incorrectly or have them make a new door. We couldn't find anyone to "fix" the door so we opted to have them remake it. We are giving them until 8/31/21 to get the door to us and if it is not here by then, we are requesting a full refund and filing a dispute with our credit card company. I repeat, DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! Save yourself the stress and find a door elsewhere!!!

    Ordered the door in early February and was suppose to be 4-6 week. Didn’t receive it until late may. Absolutely the WORST workmanship I’ve ever seen.
    Back of the door as well as sides aren’t painted well. The fake wood panel in some areas are already coming off. Didn’t expect fake wood as a finish for the price I paid ($2500.00)
    Chips on the top of the door as well as chips throughout the door’s finished areas. Called customer service and complained to them. No return call or email.
    MY ADVISE! AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!!!

    Classic Naples Barn Door and Hardware

    When we ordered our door on March 30th, we were advised that the estimated shipping week was May 10. I have sent a number of email requests for status and have not received a response.

    Today, I called for status. I am now being advised that it will not ship until the week of May 24th. This is not satisfactory. I made plans to stay in Florida until May 21 to take delivery. Now I’m being told that I need to stay an additional two weeks.

    If I knew this was the delivery, I wouldn’t have ordered the door, because delivery was too late.

    Customer service is non existent.

    Pray you don't have an issue. The lack of customer service is horrendous. If you feel you can have a issue free purchase then go for it. However don't expect getting taken care of on the backend if a problem arises. When you pay for a premium door you expect premium service if something goes wrong. Unfortunately this company doesn't take care of the customer.

    Order a door from this company in early March and was told that the door would arrive sometime the week on 5/3. I called on 5/4/2021 and was told the door would not be arriving anytime soon because they had not even stated production on the door. I disputed the charge on my card and now this company says the door was in production. It was NOT in production and this is a shady company. Customer service???? This company has no customer service

    $3000 in barn doors

    Absolutely the worst service I have ever seen. I ordered 3 large barn doors. 4 of the pieces were damaged in shipping and there was no hardware at all to put the doors together. I had to contact customer service 3 times and finally had to speak to the manager Kahim. It's been over a month since speaking to Kahim who said my items would ship within 2 weeks. Now, all of a sudden, Kahim won't return any calls at all and no one seems to know when I will get my replacement parts and hardware. When you ask the "customer service" people when the items will ship out, they just say "I don't' know." Once this company has your money, don't expect anything from them.

    French Window Pane Barn Doors

    I would never recommend for anyone to order from this company. Placed my order with them October 6 2020 and didn't receive my doors until February 26 2021. That was after repeatedly calling them asking for an update. Then when I received the doors I was missing 2 rollers to hang one of the doors. I again called repeatedly for those missing parts and when I received those missing parts today, March 30th they only sent one of the 2 rollers!!! How can I hang a sliding barn door with only one roller??? This company is so garbage. I just want to be done with them forever and now I have to call them again tomorrow and ask for another roller. Like how does a company repeatedly do this to their customers??!?!?!?

    A $2200 door arrived with no mounting holes drilled, packaging that scratched door, the outside layer separated from the core do in general terrible quality. Coustomer service is terrible, Coleen is worthless. They expected is to buy the repair paint and pay for return of unneeded hardware. This company is terrible, so stay away if your smart.

    My door arrived unfinished and the wood was beginning to separate in places where it was not glued properly. The overall quality of wood is very poor. The soft close system I received was not compatible with the hardware I ordered. I sent pictures to Craig King, the salesman who helped me place my order so that I could be sure of receiving the correct door for my needs. Craig King completed my order which required me paying in full in the amount of $2,398.06. I’ve called and emailed customer service on four separate occasions but I’m across the country from White Shanty and have no recourse. They violated our contract and they still have my money.

    As 2020 moved us into working from home we needed a new barn door to make a space a home office. We purchased a large barn door with hardware and all drilling and prep to be done to the door in July. When the door arrived, White Shanty had failed to cut in the router area to fit the recessed handle. Without this the door was incomplete. We contacted White Shanty immediately and explained the error and that we would have to pay a contra tor to do additional work to make the door ready. After getting a bid for $80 to do the work Chris Campbell the Sales manager agreed that was fair and they would refund our credit card that amount. (This is a $2000.00 door for reference) . We had the door installed and after several months I realized the $80 never arrived. I contacted Chris in Early October and he stated it was in process and apologized for the delay. After not hearing or seeing the refund in the coming weeks I called again and was escalated to Joe the “Escalation Manager” Who then said he would get the refund taken care of that week and and we should get a confirmation email by Monday. Nothing Happened. I then called every week for 8 weeks and was told that Chris or Joe was at Lunch and would have to call me back (regardless of what time I called). Nobody ever returned a single call. The final call was handled by Michelle who said she went into Joes office and saw the refund form and that there was a lot of process to get that taken care of. I explained I had heard that every time I called and asked why nobody ever called me back. She had no answer other than they were busy. Now 6 months later and 15 phone calls and emails no response ever. I would steer clear of a company that cannot follow through on its work product and promises.

    They were 30 days late to deliver and then delivered two left handed barn doors and had the audacity of Delivered two left hand doors and then said that we had to pay for the shipping costs to get a return! Unbelievable.

    Ordered two custom doors in the beginning of July. They were promised for first week of October delivery. Then they were delayed a month, and I was assured they would definitely come November 2nd as I wasn't prepared to accept any more delays. They didn't arrive and I was unable to get a firm date. Customer Service gets an "F". I have now cancelled the order since they have not complied with their part of the agreement.

    They send me damage door and I refused to receive it and shipped it back.
    This company took 6 month to REPAIR and send it back.
    It was very difficult to reach to customer service and They didn’t follow up with status of door.I could not figure out when
    I am getting my door.
    Today FINALLY shipping company R & L Carriers shipped my door. My nanny was outside and She sign without knowing anything. Driver didn’t ask her name or who she is, I heard door is coming down and went out and asked to driver if we can check door condition, Driver said “NO”. BECAUSE MY nanny sign the paper He doesn’t want to check the door condition with me. I have to open wood box with nail on it and He can only wait 5 min. And I said I will bring my husband from home bc I cant open this wood box. And driver got in car and left without saying anything.
    I strongly suggest they need to change shipping company.
    I never had this horrible experience ordering something.
    And This company doesn’t install the door or even help you to put inside of your home.
    They leave huge door on the street in front of your house.
