    A Review of Pit Boss Grills

    I have been a client of Pit Boss Grills for several years now and have consistently been impressed with the quality and durability of their grills. From the large, 700 square inch grills to the portable tailgating models, every grill I have purchased from Pit Boss has exceeded my expectations.

    One of the things I appreciate most about Pit Boss is the variety of options they offer. Whether I am looking for a traditional charcoal grill or a pellet smoker, they have something to suit my needs. And with their digital controllers, I can easily adjust the temperature and cook my food to perfection.

    Another thing I love about Pit Boss is their customer service. Whenever I have had a question or concern, their team has been quick to respond and provide helpful assistance. I also appreciate that they offer a warranty on all of their products.

    Pit Boss Laredo 1000 Platinum Purchase

    I bought the Pit Boss Laredo 1000 Platinum a couple of years ago and I've been using it to smoke meat ever since. It's been a solid grill that's served me well. But, recently, I ran into an issue where I couldn't adjust the temperature on the grill. I reached out to customer service for help, and I have to say, I was really impressed with the level of support I got. The Pit Boss rep knew their stuff and walked me through some troubleshooting steps to figure out the problem. We discovered that I had a faulty control panel, and they quickly sent me a replacement panel for free without any hassle. The fact that they stood by their product and offered such great service, especially since the grill is outside, really shows their commitment to their customers. The whole experience left me very happy, and I'll definitely be sticking with this brand in the future.

    Vertical pellet smoker from a hardware store

    I just got a vertical pellet smoker from a big hardware store and I'm really happy with how well it's been working. Like any new cooking gadget, it took a little trial and error to get the hang of it, but overall, it's been meeting my expectations. The temperature control works pretty well, though I sometimes have to tweak it on colder days to keep things consistent. I did run into some trouble with the Bluetooth and WiFi connection recently, but when I reached out to customer service, they quickly sent me a new control module for free and gave me clear instructions on how to replace it. I'm super happy with the smoker and totally impressed with the great customer service from the Pitboss team.

    Vertical smoker

    My new vertical smoker has been a total disaster. I shelled out 500 bucks for it, but haven't been able to get it working right at all. And it took forever for the replacement parts to show up, so I couldn't even use the dang thing. This whole deal has been a total waste of my money and time.

    Expired spice purchase

    I can't believe how bold this company is! I bought a spice product and found out it was expired by over a month. How could they sell such an old item to customers? It's totally unacceptable and I'm really mad. I was hoping for a good product, but all I got was let down and lied to. When I contacted their customer service for a refund, they casually said they don't take back spices. Seriously? They keep that info hidden on their website and won't own up to their mistake. It's sneaky and I feel tricked by their shady ways. This total lack of care for customers is awful, and I'm gonna tell everyone to steer clear of this company. Don't believe their lies. My experience with them was a nightmare, and I won't be using them again.

    Pitboss grill purchase

    I bought a grill from this company not too long ago, but it's been a huge letdown. After just a few hours of using it, the igniter crapped out and messed with the control fuse. I tried talking to customer service to get a replacement, but it's been over 3 weeks and still no fix. The lack of communication and unreliable service is really getting on my nerves. I'm so frustrated and unhappy with all of this that I've decided to return the grill. I won't be buying anything from this company again.

    Smoker purchase arrived damaged

    I'm really bummed because the smoker I bought as a gift arrived all messed up. Pitboss and Tractor Supply kept pushing back the fix by saying they needed 30 days, which seemed like a cop-out. I tried reaching out to Pitboss several times about the damaged smoker and the fact that I needed a new meat probe, but I still haven't gotten a decent solution. Their customer service wasn't much help and didn't seem to care about the fact that I got a beat-up smoker that was supposed to be brand new. Overall, I'm pretty let down by my experience with Pitboss and wish I had gone with a different company for my smoker.

    Smoker/grill purchase

    I bought a smoker/grill not too long ago, and man, it's been a letdown. Ever since I got it, the company keeps sending me the wrong parts. And let me tell you, these parts they're sending are not up to par. And don't even get me started on their customer service - not good at all. I'm worried about what's gonna happen when the warranty runs out. Basically, I'm just feeling super annoyed and unsatisfied with this whole situation.

    Laredo smoker

    I've been dealing with customer service like three times about my Laredo smoker and man, it's been a total bummer since I got it. To be honest, it's probably the worst money I've ever dropped on anything. The materials are junk and it performs way below average. I'm super underwhelmed. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this product - it's been a major letdown for me.

    Pitboss Grill

    I had a really bad experience with Pitboss grills. My grill caught on fire while I was smoking brisket because of a messed-up hopper and auger system. And their customer service? Terrible. Even though I had a warranty, Pitboss wouldn't honor it and just gave me the runaround. They wanted me to take apart the grill, mess with the 120v electrical stuff, and sent me random parts that didn't fix anything. It was obvious they were just trying to stall until the warranty ran out, leaving me with a busted grill. And the fire risk? That's a big deal that can't be ignored.

    Smoker Warranty Issue

    I ran into this problem, Pitboss wouldn't honor the warranty on my smoker because I didn't buy it at Lowe's. This really got to me because they clearly advertise a 5-year warranty on their products, but then drop the bomb that it's only good if you buy from Lowe's. It felt shady and unfair to me, like they're tricking customers. I suggest being careful and looking at other brands before getting something from Pitboss.

    New grill purchase

    I recently got a new grill from Pitboss and man, it's been a real let down. After only a few months, things started acting up like the components shorting out and the drive screw getting stuck, making it impossible to use the grill. When I reached out to the store for help, they basically just told me to call a 1-800 number. The customer service rep on the other end suggested I just buy a new model, which sounded pretty crazy to me. Why would I want to shell out more cash on something that clearly didn't last? Long story short, I won't be dealing with this company again.

    Expensive purchase, Pitboss 8 in 1 smoker, malfunctioning auger motor, frustrating customer service

    I recently bought the Pitboss 8 in 1 smoker and man, what a bummer. Spent a cool $1000 expecting top-notch quality and performance, but nope. The auger motor was jammed up and acting wonky right out of the gate. Dealing with customer service was no fun either. They sent me a new auger to install myself, but that didn't fix the problem. Now they're saying it might be the motherboard - talk about adding insult to injury. Frustrated and let down, to say the least.

    Competition series smoker

    I bought a competition series smoker back in August 2022 and I've been doing my best to take care of it. I seasoned it before the first use, kept it covered, and cleaned it after every cook. But lately, I've been seeing some rust on the outside of the barrel where the lid and barrel meet. I tried to fix it by sanding down the rust spots to clean metal and painting them with high heat Rustoleum paint, but the rust keeps coming back. It looks like the metal is oxidizing and the lid and barrel are not getting along. When I reached out to customer service, they said it was just cosmetic rust and not covered under warranty. I've been trying different things to get rid of the rust, but nothing seems to work, and the company hasn't been much help. It seems like there's something wrong with the metal, and I'm not happy with the quality of the product. I've decided to splurge on a Traeger smoker instead after hearing good things from friends who own one. This will be my last time buying from this company, since I can't trust their products anymore.
