    I've been a loyal customer of this outdoor gear store for a while now, and I gotta say, the co-op brands really impress me. They're usually cheaper than the big name brands, but just as good, if not better. Lately, I've been ordering online a lot, and every time I get my stuff really quickly and it's always packaged well. Being a member of this store has its perks too - I've snagged some awesome deals by acting fast and knowing exactly what I want.     Innovative product design idea

    I contacted the company with a cool idea for their product design, hoping to make it even better. But all I got back was a boring generic response. It's frustrating when you try to help improve something, and companies just brush off your ideas. It feels like they don't value customers who want to help them be better than the rest. This kind of attitude doesn't make me want to stick with them or trust them, and it makes me question if they really care about their customers at all.

    I just bought the Sahara Convertible Pants and I gotta say, I'm really happy with them.     Faulty Socks

    I bought some socks from this store not too long ago, and they already fell apart way quicker than I expected. I only wore them a handful of times and they were already showing signs of wear and tear. I decided to take them back to the store, hoping to either swap them out for a new pair or get some store credit like the customer service person said I could. But when I got there, the staff was not very helpful at all. They seemed like they couldn't care less about helping me out. I left feeling pretty frustrated and let down by the terrible customer service.

    In the past, I've always relied on REI for top-notch outdoor gear. Lately, though, I've noticed a drop in their customer service and product guarantees. It's a bummer to see that the staff isn't as helpful as they used to be and that their warranty policy has gotten more strict. Companies like REI need to back up their products, especially when customers are shelling out serious cash. As a devoted customer, I'm hoping to see some changes in these areas down the line.

    Clearance shoes

    I'm not super into the outdoorsy stuff, but I do like going on hikes and training for half marathons every now and then. Even though I'm no expert on outdoor gear, I always manage to find top-notch stuff at this store. And let me tell you, the sale prices are hard to beat! Just snagged a pair of shoes I've been wanting for a while on clearance, and they showed up right on schedule and looking brand new.

    Gross used coat

    I ordered a coat online expecting it to be brand new, but it turned out to be disgusting. It had pills and stains all over it, making it unwearable. I contacted the company and they admitted they resell stuff even if it's gross. So not cool!

    Outdoor gear

    I was so pumped to order some new outdoor gear from REI online, but man, did it turn into a total bummer. The stuff they sell is top-notch, no question about it, but the whole buying process was a disaster. I thought I was being smart by choosing the store pick-up option, but boy was I wrong. I get to the counter all excited, just to find out that my payment got canceled. Turns out REI's using some middleman who went ahead and refunded half my order behind my back, which caused all sorts of confusion and got me super frustrated. The person ringing me up said this kind of mix-up happens a lot, which is just not cool. And to make matters worse, a couple days later I get an email saying the rest of my stuff got canceled too because of some "inventory changes." I mean, come on! How can a big-shot company like REI have such poor communication and not keep things transparent? It's just not right.

    Bought a Longline hooded puffer coat

    So I ordered this really nice puffer coat back in November, but it never came. I emailed them in December, and they told me it was on the way, but it never arrived. In January, they said they would give me a refund, but that never happened either. I reached out again last week, but still no response. Definitely feels like a total scam!

    Men's sweatpants

    I picked up some awesome sweatpants for my dad at REI. They were so comfy and he really liked them! But when we went to check out, the cashier charged us way more than they should have been. It felt like we were getting totally ripped off! I went back to where I found them and saw the same pants for a much better price. Can you believe that? What a rip-off! And when I tried to exchange them because they didn't fit, they still didn't give me back the correct amount of cash. Ugh, so annoying! But hey, at least the sweatpants themselves were really nice.

    Snowboard Purchase

    I just got a snowboard from that store and it didn't go well. The board I bought had a defect where the side wall blew out after only four rides, even though I didn't crash or anything. I was bummed that the store's customer service couldn't help me out. They're an authorized dealer for that brand, but they wouldn't hook me up with the manufacturer to fix the issue. It was super frustrating and disappointing to not get any support or help from them.

    High-priced hiking shoes

    As someone who loves spending time outdoors and values quality gear, I decided to splurge on a pair of pricey hiking shoes from this store. The whole shopping experience was great, tons of options to choose from. But man, was I bummed when my new shoes started falling apart after just a few months of use. I usually don't drop a lot of cash on shoes, so I was expecting these pricier ones to hold up better. When I tried to return them because of the damage, I was told no dice because of their condition. Talk about a bummer! This whole no-return policy deal has me thinking twice about buying expensive stuff from this place again.

    I was really let down by REI's return policy when I compared it to places like Amazon. Amazon makes it super easy with free returns and quick credits, usually within hours. On the other hand, REI charges $5.99 for returns and you have to wait up to 2 weeks to get your money back. Amazon lets you return stuff to places like UPS, Whole Foods, and Kohl's, but REI only takes returns through the post office. Plus, Amazon doesn't make you worry about finding a box, tape, or printing a label for your return, but REI makes you do all that yourself.

    Hiking boots

    I ordered some hiking boots online and they didn't fit properly. When I went to send them back, I was shocked to find out I had to cover the cost of return shipping! It just doesn't seem right, especially since shoe sizes can be so inconsistent. I believe companies should provide free returns, especially for exchanges or when the sizing is wrong. I'm really let down by this experience.

    High-end shorts

    I recently bought a really nice pair of shorts from this store, but they ended up being too small. I couldn't return them in time because I was away for work. When I tried to return them after I got back, they said it was too late and wouldn't take them back since I had already worn them once. I was pretty bummed out because I really liked their stuff and had been a loyal customer.
