Quality clothing at thrift store prices
I've been shopping at this online thrift store for a while now and I've gotta say, it's been a pretty good experience overall. Most of the stuff I've gotten has been in good shape, although there were a couple of outfits that didn't quite fit right - but hey, that's just part of the game when you're buying used clothes online, right? I really like that they have a lot of options to choose from, and I've even been able to snag some sweet designer purses at decent prices. I haven't tried selling anything myself, but I get that they gotta make a profit somehow by marking things up. All in all, I'm happy with the quality of what I've gotten and I plan to keep shopping here.
Recent purchase
I just bought something on this platform and ran into a problem with some misleading stuff on the listings. I tried to talk to customer service to clear things up, but the person I chatted with wasn't much help. It took a bunch of back and forth emails before I finally got the right answer, and there wasn't any mention of the mix-up or even an apology for the hassle. This whole lack of good communication left me feeling irritated and let down by the whole thing.
Secondhand clothing
I've been using thredUP for over ten years now, but lately, I have noticed a significant drop in the quality of service. The amount of money I receive for selling my items has gotten ridiculously low, and it's frustrating that I can't control the prices anymore. What's even worse is that if a customer uses a coupon code, I end up making a lot less. I used to make a good amount of money selling my clothes, but now with the $14.99 fee for every bag and all the discounts and coupons, it's almost impossible to make a decent profit. I recently sent in a bunch of brand new Judy Blue denim jeans, and I only got $12 for over ten pairs - what a rip off! Even a pair of lucky denim in great condition didn't get me a fair payout. After that experience, I've decided to stop selling on thredUP completely, even though I still shop for my kids there. The prices for secondhand clothes are getting way too high, and it's just not worth it for me anymore.
Designer clothes and 2 Bulgari bags
So yeah, I sent in this really awesome kit with all my fancy designer clothes and, guess what, TWO Bulgari bags. I was so excited because I was gonna make some money off of it all, you know? But then, after a few weeks, they were all like "Your kit? What kit?" They basically ignored my kit, like it never even existed! I tried emailing them to sort things out, but they're not being very helpful. It's like they just don't care that my kit mysteriously vanished! I'm so disappointed.
Killer clothes
I got some really cool clothes from this site, but they came all messed up when they showed up! The zipper was broken, holes all over the place, and they looked like they'd been through a war. When I tried to get my money back, they wanted me to send it back and pay a fee! What a rip off, dude. I'd rather just go to a regular thrift store, way better stuff there!
Second-hand clothing
This website is super sketchy, I really wouldn't suggest anyone give them any sensitive info, especially credit card details. The customer service is basically non-existent and I had a horrible time dealing with them. Definitely steer clear of this shady site!
Secondhand purchase experience
My experience with thredUP really let me down. The stuff I got wasn't as good as they said it would be, and some things were even missing from what I ordered. I couldn't believe how they dropped the ball on quality control and messed up handling the items. Plus, they hit me with extra fees that felt like a sneaky way to squeeze more money out of me. Trying to get help from customer service was a major headache. It was super hard to even talk to someone, and when I finally did, they just gave me some generic excuses and no real solution.
Over $1000 worth of clothes lost
I've sent a bunch of emails and haven't heard anything back - their customer service is just awful. And to top it off, I donated some clothes and still haven't gotten any kind of solution.
Shady payout practices
Selling my clothes turned into a total nightmare. I sent in a clean out kit with really nice clothes, thinking I'd make a good amount of money. But I was shocked by how little they paid me and the crazy high shipping and handling fees. I sold 13 items, but after the $25 fee, I only got less than $2. It's insane that they're making a fortune off my stuff and I'm left with almost nothing. And if I want my unsold clothes back, they want me to pay even more money. It's all just a big scam.
Selling and buying clothes
I used to really enjoy shopping and selling on this platform. Lately, though, the quality has really taken a nosedive. I sent in some brand-new clothes to sell, and they ended up getting mislabeled and relisted without any explanation. And when I tried to make a purchase, my order got randomly cancelled without a good reason. The customer service wasn't much help at all, they were dismissive, which left me feeling frustrated and let down. I used to tell everyone to check out this site, but now I wouldn't go near it with a ten-foot pole.
Misleading clothing listings
I bought some stuff from thredUP not too long ago, and man was I let down. Out of the 7 items I got, I had to send back 5 because they were totally different from what was advertised. It was like I was looking at two different things. And on top of that, none of the stuff fit like they said it would. Such a bummer.
Recent purchase
Shipping delays really bother me. I placed an order on March 8th and got the first shipment on March 21st, but the second one never showed up. The tracking info kept saying they missed picking it up. I tried to contact customer service, but it felt like talking to a wall - no response at all. I'm not shopping here again until they fix these problems.
Mislisted jeans, return issue
I just bought a pair of jeans from an online store, but it turns out they were labeled as women's jeans when they're actually men's jeans. When I tried to return them, they told me I'd have to pay restocking and shipping fees or take store credit. After arguing with customer service about their mix-up, I decided to send the jeans back. It's been two weeks now, and I still haven't gotten my refund.
