About Orchard Supply Hardware.

It's an American retail company with online and in-store services for home improvement and gardening products. Founded by fruit tree ranchers and orchard farmers in 1931, known as The Orchard Supply Farmers Co-operation. In 1950, it transformed to Orchard Supply Hardware retail stores with headquarters in San Jose, California. It was acquired by W.R Grace and Company in 1979, then sold it to Wickers Companies in 1986, who in turn sold it to its managers in 1989, then later it was bought by Sears in 1996. It had 84 stores by 2005, became a public company in 2012, with shares being traded on Nasdaq Stock Market (NASDAQ: OSH). It was bought in 2013, by Lowe Home Improvement chain that agreed to acquire 60 of the 91 orchard store supply stores in the same year expanded to Oregon, San Francisco, Lowe used the OSH brand to enter urban regions and rebranded to Outdoor Supply Hardware.
