    Car condition and maintenance

    The car I rented had this tire pressure light thingy on, and I gotta admit, it kinda freaked me out while I was driving. On top of that, there were a few dents on the outside of the car, so I made sure to snap some pics. But I was running late and didn't have time to let Zipcar know about the damages. I think the people who work at the parking lot should be the ones to tell Zipcar about any issues with the cars when they come in, and Zipcar should really step up their car maintenance game to keep customers happy.

    Reliable cars

    I've been using this car sharing service for a minute now, and I gotta say, all the cars I've reserved have been solid. They're always clean, in good shape, and a breeze to drive. But, there was this one time when I couldn't get into the car using the app or my card. I got in touch with customer service, and they came through fast, refunded me without any issues.

    My Zipcar experience in bullets

    I've used this car service for a while now and gotta say, it's been pretty solid. One of the best things is being able to grab a car in the city whenever I want - makes my life so much easier. Plus, it's way cheaper than regular car rentals, and the fact that gas and insurance are included is a big bonus.

    Car rental experience

    I've rented cars a bunch of times, but this last one was a nightmare. The first time, the car reeked of weed so bad it made me feel sick. I figured it was just bad luck though. Then my latest rental was even worse. I got in an accident that wasn't my fault, did everything right by calling the company, but they suspended my account and ditched me in a different city. I was hurt and needed to extend my rental, but they said no and hit me with a bunch of crazy fees. It was a really cold move, totally lacking any compassion for my situation. I'm never using this rental company again.

    Van rental

    The service was unbelievably bad. I reserved a van a whole week in advance, and they ended up switching my pick-up spot not just once, but twice. When I showed up on the day to get the van, it wasn't even at the third location they sent me to - and that was a 30-minute walk away! I called customer service and that's when I found out the van was actually 2 hours away. I ended up losing a lot of money because they couldn't get their act together and take responsibility. And all they gave me was a lousy 1-hour free rental as an apology.

    I just rented a car real quick to run some errands. When I gave it back, I used the app to report a few small cleanliness problems inside. But then, they hit me with a fee for the mess, which caught me off guard.

    Electric vehicle charging inconvenience

    I really like using Zipcar, it's so handy, especially with the flex option for airport trips. The customer service is great, they're always there to help. But my last time using an electric car was not so good. The car ran out of charge fast, so I had to stop and charge it in the middle of my trip. It ended up taking an extra hour, and I had to pay for it too.

    Recent price increase

    I just realized that the company hiked up the prices for their services by $5 to $6 an hour. It's way pricier than what I was paying before. This sudden price increase is making me think twice about continuing to use their services. The value for the cost just doesn't add up anymore, and I'm pretty bummed out by this shift.

    Trip cancellation unannounced

    I wanted to share my experience with you - I booked a day trip using a car-sharing service, but ran into a problem. On the day of my trip, I got an email saying that the car I reserved was no longer available. I tried reaching out to customer service, but couldn't get a hold of anyone for help. It was a major inconvenience because I had already made plans and arrangements counting on that car being available.

    Signed up, no cars in city

    My experience with this car rental service was absolutely terrible. I signed up thinking I could rent a car in my city, but turns out they had none available, despite Google Maps saying otherwise. When I tried to cancel my membership just 5 minutes later, they said no to giving me a refund. The person I talked to on the phone promised to call back, but that never happened. Their dishonesty and awful customer service really let me down.

    Rental Experience

    My experience with this rental company was just awful. They hit me with all these extra charges that they never told me about. And when I called customer service to complain, they acted like they didn't care at all. It was obvious they weren't interested in keeping their customers happy or fixing the problem. I really suggest avoiding this rental service to save yourself the hassle and cash.

    Terrible cars, bad customer service

    Man, this company is just awful! My friend rented cars from them and every single one was a disaster. One had syringes in it, another was damaged, one wouldn't turn off, there were empty liquor bottles in one, and they were all filthy. And on top of that, they locked her out of a car she paid for and left it abandoned with her stuff inside! Terrible, just terrible! Do yourself a favor and avoid them at all costs. Go with a legit rental company instead.

    Signed up for a car thingy

    I signed up for this car thing and they straight up took my money without even giving me a heads up! I told them to cancel my account and give me my money back, but they haven't done anything about it. Seriously feels like a scam or something shady going on, not a legit company. Don't mess with them, just a heads up!

    Got tricked

    I was told I'd get a credit, but it never showed up in my account. I emailed them proof and they finally added it, but there was still some money left to pay. The customer service person said I needed to update my card to use the credit, even though it was already there. Then they turned around and just took my money!

    Car rental service

    I've been using a car rental service for a few months since my car broke down. Everything was going fine until December 16th when things took a turn for the worse. While talking to Customer Service, my account got suspended out of the blue without any explanation. They said they'd send an email with the next steps, but it's been 10 days and I haven't heard anything. I've tried to get my complaint heard, but no one's getting back to me. This whole situation has put me in a tough spot because I need a car, and using Uber instead has been way more expensive than I can handle.
