Drip: A Mediocre Email Marketing Platform

As a user of Drip, I have had a generally positive experience with the company. Their email automation and marketing tools have been helpful for me in growing my business. The user interface is easy to navigate and the customer support is responsive and helpful when I have had questions.

One feature I particularly like is the ability to segment my email lists and send targeted campaigns. This has allowed me to increase my open and click-through rates.

However, there are a few areas where Drip could improve. One issue I have encountered is that the automation rules can be a bit buggy and require some fine-tuning. Additionally, the pricing plans can be a bit steep for small businesses.

Overall, I would recommend Drip as a solid choice for anyone looking for email automation and marketing tools. Just be prepared to put in some extra time to iron out any kinks and budget accordingly for the pricing plans.

    Email marketing disaster

Let me tell you about my terrible experience with this email marketing platform. So we wanted to switch our subscribers over to this new platform by having them sign up through a form instead of just importing the email list. We sent out a final email through our old system, letting everyone know it was the last time they'd be hearing from us that way, and to sign up for the new system. People started signing up, but a few hours later the free trial with the new platform ended. Instead of giving us a heads up, they just shut down our account and the sign-up form with it. Our subscriber list went from 3500 to only 320 people! And why couldn't we just go back to the old list, you ask? Well, we promised it was the last email and had already deleted the list.

But wait, there's more. We had set up this flow for new members to get a series of emails after signing up. But they had to confirm their subscription first through a link, to make sure they signed up themselves. Some of these new members marked the first email as spam, and it resulted in our account getting shut down again, with them saying we were new customers. That would have made sense if we had imported the customers ourselves.

This whole situation cost us a lot of money and time. I definitely recommend finding another provider if you can!
