    9 days in France

    Best week of my life. I admit, I speak French, but I was in pure Heaven. The bus was pleasant with extremely nice drivers (Hanna and Bernard for the most part). Very friendly and accommodating. When some of the group wanted to get back to Paris earlier than the itinerary showed, we put that out and voted on it. Driver was happy to oblige. They did all the legwork procuring tickets and entries to museums and sites, explaining history (Essedine) in Normandy, and other locations. They all spoke English and were light-hearted and fun to be around.

    The hotels varied. Some had ... rooms than others, but I slept well in all of them, the staff were friendly and also accommodating. Perhaps speaking the language helped.

    The driver sent by Exoticca to pick us up at the airport was fabulous. I contacted him later on to see if he could take us to a place I wanted to see
    for dinner on our last night, and asked him to invite his wife. We had a fantastic meal and the next day he showed up with homemade sandwiches, including GF for my daughter. I could go on and on. I didn't want to leave.

    WE HAD A GREAT TIME AND WOULD DO IT AGAIN. Merci la France! J'ai passe la meilleure semaine de ma vie.

    Tour of Portugal late May Early June

    My mother, daughter and I booked a trip with Exoticca to Portugal at the end of May and it was fabulous. The customer service Dept. always answered promptly and were very helpful. My mother and I were coming from the United States and my daughter was coming from Amsterdam and the travel went so smoothly. Our guide Andre was wonderful. He was a history buff and we learned so much about this beautiful country. We had quite a big group with all different ages and i think he did a great job managing all the different needs of everyone. Everyday was so eventful and we saw so much of Portugal. I would recommend this travel company to everyone. The hotels and food were great and the CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS FANTASTIC. ***** The only thing i would advise is if you are older it might be too much activity for you. Lots of walking and long days. I enjoyed it but i know my mother who is in her 70s was a little exhausted by the end of the day. Overall my 22 year old daughter and I had no problems. It was a lovely trip.

    This is not easy to choose a right agency as thousands of companies doing same job all over the United States Took two weeks to select a right company to avoid any last minute disappoint
    Exoticca was not in our list I contacted our Indian counterparts and they suggest this name And this was a great advise indeed Pricing cooperation behavior and above then all easy booking process
    No if and but ,simple booking Great trip.

    Egypt Trip

    Unethical thieves! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! My wife and I purchased a trip to Egypt 6 months before the travel date. When the war broke out in neighboring Israel, we did not feel comfortable for several reasons traveling to Egypt. The US State Department has it listed as a Level 3: Reconsider Travel warning. We gave them 4 months notice. We didn’t even ask for our money back... instead, we simply asked to get a credit or transfer our deposit to a different trip. Not only did they refuse, they told us they were keeping 60% of our $3600 deposit! We canceled the trip and have been waiting over two weeks to receive our 40% refund. Now they are sending emails stating they aren’t going to refund us at all! Good luck calling customer service. I waited for 51 minutes on hold when an automated message came on and said, “All representatives are busy, call back at another time” and hung up on me. I kept calling and eventually spoke with a representative who recommended I pay the additional 40%! Are you kidding me? I asked to speak to a supervisor and they refused stating, “We don’t have supervisors. You have to submit a complaint through the website.” I have submitted numerous complaints and they keep sending an AI-generated message that says we aren’t getting our refund. Extremely unethical, crooked company! SPRINT, don’t just walk away from this company!

    13 day trip Argentina and Brazil

    We (and our 6 traveling companions) had many issues on our Argentina /Brazil vacation in January with Exotica. The group called the What's App number which was for immediate issues in the country as well as the main Exotica phone line. Our group called 7 times during the trip with problems with no response at all. We filed a complaint when we arrived back home and no one ever responded to that either.

    On our trip back we did not use the last leg of our travel from New York back to Cleveland. We contacted American Airlines and they said we could use this on another trip. We went to use this credit for a fall vacation and was told there was a $50 pp fee to rebook the trip but if we called our travel company and they rebook it for us - there would be no cost. We called Exotica on 6/28/23 to see if they could assist us and were told they won't rebook a flight. Again, no problem, we will pay the fee. We called to use the credit to find out Exotica called on 6/29/23 ( the very next day) and requested and received a refund from our credit we were using. We paid extra on top of the trip fee to fly from Cleveland to New York and then back to Cleveland. This was our credit we arranged with the airlines and Exotica knew nothing about it till we asked for their help. This is just wrong on so many levels! We have been trying since then to get resolution with no luck. It is not the money but the principle... we feel like they stole our money/credit. Not a way to do business.

    We travel world wide and have always had wonderful experiences with travel companies. Exotica was the exception. We will never book with Exotica again!

    That being said, the sites were amazing!

    Peru Tour

    I booked a tour for Peru for January 2023. Two days before departure they cancelled my tour two days prior to the trip. Didn't even refund my money. Their Website says they have some plan called "Premium Care" included in all trip. My confirmed reservation showed "Premium Care" included. According to Premium Care they say if they cancel tour they will refund in full if they cancel tour. In my case that's what exactly happened and they didn't refund my money but just offered me partial exoticca account credit towards future tour with them. Liars..

    DO NOT BOOK WITH EXOTICCA

    DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY! Look at the real reviews on Better Business Bureau, trust pilot, yelp etc. Unscrupulous business practices. Ignores Level 4 "do not travel" alerts issued by the US government due to bombings, terrorism, kidnapping etc. Ineffective customer service that lies and will not help. THEY JUST WANT TO STEAL YOUR MONEY. Out $7000 and Exoticca refused a refund. Save yourself a headache and book with a different company.

    Tour of Mexico

    We booked a tour of Central Mexico ... What we were promised was a small group ( 12 to 15 ) in a small bur /van. what we got was a large group ( 30 people ) in a large coach with windows partially obscured which made sightseeing difficult. Also we had English and Spanish speakers which made the commentary long winded and confusing. Worse still was the lack of concern and communication over our issue of their deceptive behaviour

    28 day trip throughout South America

    My wife and I booked a month long trip with Exoticca during November 2022. Counties included Brazil, Ecuador, Argentina and Peru. Organized travels were very nice and hotels advertised were good as well. Realties not advertised include that all these countries are quite dangerous so guides are needed and travel should be restricted to day light hours with guides. Politics are also problematic as frequent strikes, demonstrations complicate travel, itineraries, etc. Travellers to these countries should also know the English is rarely spoken, even in international airports so disruptions like the aforementioned become very problematic. Travellers should also be aware that Exoticca promises 24/7 support but this is NOT true. We had situations that required Exoticca support several times but they were not available to help. "talk" is usually a chat of just texts even when the Agent is available which can take hours i.e. when guides do not meet you at airports as promised. Exoticca also left me with the impression that all of our travel would be with a group but this was not true.

    Stay clear of this company. They lure you into when you book of one set of hotels which are good hotels and then at the last minute switch 100% of them to entirely different hotels which are terrible. No amenities, cold breakfasts if you ever reach the breakfast buffet, long lines (30 or 40 people ahead of you in line and by the time you get there food is gone), prostitutes on the street corners at the Evita Asty in Athens. Use a USA based tour company where you have recourse if something goes wrong and not one that has zero customer service and located in Spain. You basically are ....
