Precision tools for gunsmithing
I recently bought a set of precision tools for gunsmithing from Wheeler Tools and I have to say, I am really impressed with the quality and performance of the products. Driver Set
I have been using Wheeler products for years for projects and builds with no issues. Their tools are of good quality and durability.
But - being a male human - I recently applied too much pressure on a ,bit while tightening a screw. Of course, it snapped... My fault entirely.
I contacted Wheeler via email as to how I could order a replacement bit, fully intending to pay for the part.
The response (after a day) floored me - Wheeler had already shipped a replacement bit - no charge! What a company!!

Wheeler Fat Wrench
Bought the tool at Cabelas, and after set up it wouldn’t turn on. Checked the battery and continuity with good voltage. Contacted customer service per the instructions at 9 pm, had a response by 5:30 am with a picture to show what is supposed to be. Checked the tool and found contacts out of position. Short fix and voila!

Oh my gosh, I can't believe how awesome the screwdriver set I got from here is! It helped me fix my dad's hunting rifle so easily, it worked like a charm. The tools were super user-friendly and felt really strong. I'm already looking forward to using them again!
Gunsmithing tools purchase
Wheeler Tools says they have good stuff for gunsmiths and gun fans, but I didn't find that to be true. Trying to buy stuff from their website was a pain because it was hard to figure out what I was looking at. The customer service was meh - they took forever to get back to me and didn't really help much. Plus, their prices were way too high compared to other places that sell the same stuff. And to top it off, my order took forever to get to me, which just made me annoyed and let down. Overall, not a great experience.
Armorers Handgun Sight Tool
Very poor quality - tool was damaged/defective - threads cross-threaded and one of the knurl nuts was warped so badly that it would not properly thread on the undamaged stud. Contacted Wheeler and returned defective tool - still waiting for replacement - it's been 5 weeks. Called Wheeler and cust svc rep was not helpful... asked for manager - "no manager availabloe." I had to inform cs rep that i was prepared to take legal action against Wheeler for fraud and would also be contacting FTC and Utah AG Consumer Protection Division to file complaint agains Wheeler - collected my money and failed to deliver new, serviceable product I ordered and paid for. Will never buy another tool from this substandard company. Products substandard. Customer service substandard.
Gunsmithing Tools
Placed an order for multiple tools on September , 2020 for just over 155 dollars.
Never heard back from them.
Sent three emails via their website Contact Us for Customer Support asking when I could expect delivery.
Received a no-reply email each time saying customer service rep would be contacting me shortly.
Never happened.
Placed a phone call directly to Customer Service and was told they had no idea when it would ship.
Finally, today 21 September 2020 I called them to formally cancel the order.
They didn't give a damn.
Wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
