So I jumped on this site a few weeks ago, half expecting fake pics and bots. At first glance everything looked way too perfect, like stock photos, and I rolled my eyes, honestly. I kept poking around though, sent a couple messages with a bare-bones profile — even a sarcastic line to test it — and to my surprise a few people actually replied. One conversation felt real and that responsiveness stuck with me. It went from “this is sketchy” to “ok, not bad” pretty fast. Mostly used it in the evenings; replies were okay and I had fun.
Weird vibe, seemed off from the start
I signed up mostly out of boredom, late night scrolling, and it felt…odd pretty quickly. The interface is fine, but the messages I got back were short, generic, like they came from a script. I tried having a real conversation a few times. It broke down fast. Replies that didn’t answer the question, or popped up at weird hours, or repeated the same line. Makes you pause and wonder who’s typing. I used it on my phone while watching TV, and on my laptop during lunch breaks. In both cases the experience felt flat — not a lot of personality, and sometimes the photos didn’t line up with the way the profiles acted. I did some digging myself, because I’m nosy and a little suspicious, and managed to find one profile picture on Instagram that belonged to someone who had no idea her photos were being used. That pushed me over the edge. Payment felt clumsy too; the checkout wasn’t smooth and I double-checked charges after. There are moments where the site works — you can get replies, you can pass time, and some people might have decent chats — but overall it doesn’t feel honest. I kept thinking it might be bots or stolen pics, and if you value real conversation, this probably isn’t the safest bet. If you’re just killing time and don’t care much, fine. If you want real, genuine people, try a different app and ask up front where the messages are coming from. I’m not saying everything is totally broken, but I wouldn’t trust it with a card without checking first.
