2 virtual events, 1 in-person event
I've attended a few of the different events CitySwoon offers and they are fantastic!
I was surprised to see the other reviews here because my friends (who I recommended the platform to) and I have always been matched up on plenty of dates and haven't experienced any issues.
I definitely think it's worth having a go :) but if you have ... internet, then maybe stick to the in-person events (I think that may be the problem for these other reviewers)

Their virtual events are sooooo much better than using the apps. I've been attending on and off for the last few months in SanFran and met some really great women!

Highly Recommend!Ticket to an event
Bought a ticket to one of the events and about 36 hours before its scheduled time, it was canceled by cityswoon. Got an email saying that they've credited the amount I paid but the credit is not on the card I paid with, and it's not anywhere to be seen on their website either. According to the email, I can only use the credit to book future events, which for my age category happen only once/month. They make it clear in the email that this is how their T...C are set up. So they literally steal your money, but because they tell you they can do that beforehand, it's not illegal. It's ridiculous, I just gave them $40 for nothing, I wish I could at least give it to charity. There should be a law against such schemes or at least cityswoon.com should refund people's money when the customer has 0% fault. I recommend to stay away from them
Speed dating
Odd and below average ladies in NYC, but they apparently, looking for "quality" men. Awkward conversations when there is literally no connections.
I had to leave in the middle of an event, after putting up with it for several months, they terminated the membership without any heads-up. As far as I can tell, i tried to be polite with everyone. Several previously canceled events are not refunded.virtual and inperson events
Cityswoon keeps canceling events due to low attendance and then only gives credit for canceled events (as opposed to refunds). The credits are useless because the new events that you sign up for are also canceled. What a scam.
City swoon subscription
I had booked a ticket for their matched speed dating in Boston. Just a day before I was to go to the bar, they send me a cancellation notice and said I cannot come to the event because - " a lot of people have cancelled the event". However when I log back in with my subscription I see that the event is still showing up and for me it says its "booked out - join waiting list" like ...? they charged me money, cancel the event a day before and say only way to redeem the money is book another event, and in that section they say they cannot book the ticket (for the exact same event they send cancellation notice !) I may have been victim of a scam
monthly membership
The membership fee is quite high so I expected quality men, but was sorely disappointed. I missed the cancellation deadline by a few hours and requested a refund since I was not planning on using the service, but they would not refund my money. I've forgotten to cancel my subscription to quite a few services before, and they've always been accommodating in refunds or at least prorating. City Swoon gave me a flat out no, and sent me their legal policy. The message I received was that customer satisfaction is not high on their priority list.
