I was once a victim of romance scam
As a victim of romance scam, I will advice you to be very careful because scammers are everywhere taking advantage of people's emotions. I fell in love with a guy I met online few months ago. I was selfless with this guy, he claimed to be a business man who deals with cryptocurrency. We talk almost everyday, he was always there to listen to me and he showed me love that I believed he's genuine. He asked me to invest in a company, which I did without hesitation. Everything was going smoothly, we started making arrangements to meet up. Few weeks ago, I called him and boom! his number wasn't reachable, I kept on trying for weeks same thing, When I tried to log into the investment platform he introduced me to, I noticed that my account was disabled that was when I knew i have been dealing with a scammer. I invested over $86k into that platform. I couldn't hold the pain, I came online and I came across a lady who was also scammed by a romance scammer, she was able to get back her money with a private investigator recovery tech, Maciofonespyrix AT gmail com .. then I reached out to the recovery agent via email they really tried their best but they were only able to recover 85% of the money from the investment firm.
Speed dating event
I went to a speed dating event put on by this company not too long ago and I gotta say, I was pretty impressed with how well everything was organized. From signing up online to actually being there on the night of the event, it all ran really smoothly and professionally. The way they used technology to match people up in real-time was pretty cool and definitely added a fun twist to the usual speed dating scene. The venue was awesome, the hosts were super friendly and on top of things, and the vibe in the room was lively and enjoyable. I liked how easy it was to chat with other attendees during and after the event too, all thanks to the platform they set up.
Speed dating event
Oh my gosh, I went to this speed dating event and it was seriously a blast! I met tons of new people and had a great time chatting with them. The way they matched us up in real-time using technology was so cool. The venue was really awesome and the vibe was so lively. I totally recommend it to anyone who wants to meet new people!
Ticket to an event
Bought a ticket to one of the events and about 36 hours before its scheduled time, it was canceled by cityswoon. Got an email saying that they've credited the amount I paid but the credit is not on the card I paid with, and it's not anywhere to be seen on their website either. According to the email, I can only use the credit to book future events, which for my age category happen only once/month. They make it clear in the email that this is how their T...C are set up. So they literally steal your money, but because they tell you they can do that beforehand, it's not illegal. It's ridiculous, I just gave them $40 for nothing, I wish I could at least give it to charity. There should be a law against such schemes or at least cityswoon.com should refund people's money when the customer has 0% fault. I recommend to stay away from them
Speed dating
Odd and below average ladies in NYC, but they apparently, looking for "quality" men. Awkward conversations when there is literally no connections.
I had to leave in the middle of an event, after putting up with it for several months, they terminated the membership without any heads-up. As far as I can tell, i tried to be polite with everyone. Several previously canceled events are not refunded.virtual and inperson events
Cityswoon keeps canceling events due to low attendance and then only gives credit for canceled events (as opposed to refunds). The credits are useless because the new events that you sign up for are also canceled. What a scam.
City swoon subscription
I had booked a ticket for their matched speed dating in Boston. Just a day before I was to go to the bar, they send me a cancellation notice and said I cannot come to the event because - " a lot of people have cancelled the event". However when I log back in with my subscription I see that the event is still showing up and for me it says its "booked out - join waiting list" like ...? they charged me money, cancel the event a day before and say only way to redeem the money is book another event, and in that section they say they cannot book the ticket (for the exact same event they send cancellation notice !) I may have been victim of a scam
Face to Face Event
Awesome service, have been dating someone I met at one of their face to face events for 6 months now :).

Their virtual events are sooooo much better than using the apps. I've been attending on and off for the last few months in SanFran and met some really great women!

I've attended a few of the different events CitySwoon offers and they are fantastic!
I was surprised to see the other reviews here because my friends (who I recommended the platform to) and I have always been matched up on plenty of dates and haven't experienced any issues.
I definitely think it's worth having a go :) but if you have ... internet, then maybe stick to the in-person events (I think that may be the problem for these other reviewers)

The membership fee is quite high so I expected quality men, but was sorely disappointed. I missed the cancellation deadline by a few hours and requested a refund since I was not planning on using the service, but they would not refund my money. I've forgotten to cancel my subscription to quite a few services before, and they've always been accommodating in refunds or at least prorating. City Swoon gave me a flat out no, and sent me their legal policy. The message I received was that customer satisfaction is not high on their priority list.
