more stock, seriously, especially for popular sizes. I learned Monday and Wednesday afternoons are the sweet spots. Also would love a Select plan that lets me pick two Select items. Pretty happy overall, and curious what's next.
Not perfect, but works for me
I signed up because I hate committing to pricey bags. I needed options for client dinners and a few trips, and after one impulse buy that just sat in my closet I was skeptical about a rental plan. I worried about dinged hardware, weird smells, hidden fees. Most of those worries faded. Items usually arrive fast and mostly match the photos. A couple had tiny scuffs and one return took longer to sort than I liked, so it’s not flawless. The monthly credit thing is actually handy if you end up wanting to buy. Swapping styles without dropping thousands is great. Service can be slow sometimes, but overall it’s a solid way to try brands without buyer’s remorse. I’ll probably keep the plan, just watch the photos.
Rented it for events, got mixed feelings
scuffed zipper pulls, loose threads at the seams, and the leather had that worn-in sag that makes it look older than the pictures. Then the worst part — it was taken from my checked luggage while traveling. I filed police and airline reports but the rental company basically said there’s no coverage, so I’d be on the hook for replacement value. What got me too was their advertised “retail” price, which felt inflated compared to actual market prices, so the buyout number seemed unfair. It worked for the nights I used it, but the policy and the condition left me annoyed.
Closet-on-demand, with caveats
I first heard about Switch from a coworker who described it as a closet-on-demand. I rolled my eyes, but tried it anyway. I'm 35 and in real estate, so my outfits matter. I joined the Yearly Select plan three months ago. The stuff feels legit — the leather has weight, the hardware doesn’t rattle, and the finishes look real. I love how a different bag can totally change my mood. The swaps are simple and actually a little fun. Customer support helped get me set up; Kayla walked me through activation and was patient. Not everything is perfect. A couple pieces had tiny scuffs you only see close up. The app froze once during a swap, which was annoying. And the popular items vanish fast, so availability is hit or miss. Still, it beats buying bags I’d only use a few times. Mornings are easier now. I get more compliments. It’s not flawless, but it’s worth trying if you like variety without commitment.
Small luxe swap, big time saver
once I got a clasp that seemed a touch worn, nothing major but noticeable. Otherwise the selection fits most of my needs. It’s saved me cash and stress more than once. I’m not raving, but I’m genuinely glad it exists. If you want nice accessories without the commitment, it’s worth a shot.
Glad I took the switch
try Core first if you’re skeptical, check the site Monday and Wednesday afternoons for the best selection, and read condition notes. I do wish they had more weekend drops, but that’s minor. If you care about sustainability or like vintage vibes, this is a smart way to add designer without buying new. Overall, glad I tried it — my doubts mostly disappeared and I’m happy with the switch.
