I had trusted the reputation and frankly recommended it to others, so this stung. I’ve had better luck with another company years ago where a faulty unit got replaced without drama, so my expectations were shaped by that. Still, after a skeptical call and explaining the whole history, the company offered a decent discount toward a new battery. Not the perfect outcome I imagined, but it was reasonable and it eased my frustration — I'm not thrilled, but I'm willing to give them another chance. If you’re thinking about these batteries, be ready to track warranty dates and keep receipts. The performance was great when they worked, and that’s the part I want to remember. The premature failures are the one big blot, but the support response made me feel heard enough to stick around.
good kit, awful follow-up — won’t risk it again
the hardware mostly did its job, but the whole after-sales mess makes me swear off future purchases. I use this gear in a campervan conversion to keep a leisure battery topped from the alternator while I’m on the road, so reliability matters — and the thing failed to do that, which was annoying, but what really pushed me over the edge was the weeks-long back-and-forth that followed. I spent ages running diagnostics, filming tests, and doing everything they asked (I’m a qualified electrician and a Chartered Mechanical Engineer, so I don’t do hand-wavy checks), yet every time I proved something, they came back with a new test or, worse, ignored what I’d sent. At one point they finally agreed to a replacement and gave me a return label. Great, right? Except they then slapped a 48-hour deadline on the return and threatened to close the case — on a Friday — so I had to yank the unit out on Saturday morning and rush it off with tracking info. Predictably human, I then waited. On Tuesday they said a replacement order was created. By Friday afternoon it still hadn’t shipped. The only update after I asked was “not yet shipped.” Helpful. Not. The weirdest bit: support told me to use a “messages” tab that doesn’t exist in their portal; we’d been using the case messages the whole time. Makes you wonder if they’ve ever actually looked at their own systems. I do want to stress something surprising: some of the other Renogy bits I bought for the van have been pretty decent — good value, actually — and performed as expected. That’s the baffling part: when things work it’s fine; when they don’t, the warranty and service feel like paper towels in a storm. I do feel a bit sorry for the reps on the other end — they seem undertrained and stuck with clunky processes, which is not their fault entirely — but it’s still my experience as a customer. After weeks of wasted evenings trying to get this sorted, and after being fobbed off more than once, I can’t recommend them if you want a smooth repair or replacement. If you’re buying stuff and praying you never need the guarantee, then fine, go for the cheap kit. If you need a company that will actually fix things and communicate clearly, look elsewhere.
Portable solar panel purchase
I really liked this portable solar panel I bought. The shipping was fast and I liked getting updates on my order. When I got the panel, I was surprised at how quickly it started working in the sun. What I love the most is how light and easy it is to pack for trips and use wherever I need it.
Solar Suitcase
I had some questions about the Solar Suitcase I wanted to buy, and the online chat on the website was really helpful! Finally, I got to chat with a real person who answered all my questions. I purchased the Solar Suitcase and took it on my camping trip last weekend, and it worked great! I'm thrilled with my purchase and definitely suggest using the chat feature to ask any questions before making a decision.
Battery pack for off-grid camping with solar panel combo
I got a battery pack for camping off the grid and a portable solar panel for staying connected in remote areas. The BMS system handles charging really well, whether from AC or solar energy. The battery pack is well-made, and I got it at a fantastic price. I'm really pleased with my purchase.
Solar panel kit
I bought a solar panel kit for my off-grid cabin project not too long ago. I ran into a problem with my order because it said it was in stock on the website but it was actually out of stock. This mix-up caused some big delays in my project and it was pretty frustrating and inconvenient. I contacted customer support for help, and while they were able to fix the issue, it would have been better if the website had the correct stock info. Even with this hiccup, I'm happy with the product now that I have it.
Bought a lithium battery
Hey there, so I bought this battery about 2 years ago and now it's giving me a hard time. It keeps turning off by itself and it's really annoying. When I reached out to their customer service for help, they were absolutely no help at all. They wanted me to do things that I have no idea how to do. It's just so frustrating! Let's not even talk about their warranty, it's a complete joke. I really wish I could just take this battery back to their store! I rely on having power all the time because I basically live off of this battery. Seriously, don't shop from them unless you're rolling in money!
Solar panel kit
I got this really neat solar panel kit and it came in separate packages which seemed a little strange. But hey, shipping was free so that's a win. The only issue is that the MPPT charge controller struggles with the panels in the cold weather. I have to reset it myself every morning. It's a bit of a hassle, but not a huge deal.
Solar panel kit with charge controller
I ordered the solar panel kit with charge controller and I was happy that it arrived on time. The packaging was really secure and everything was in good shape when it got here. I've been using the system for about three weeks now and so far, it's been working great.
Solar panel purchase
I was so happy when the solar panels showed up all nicely packaged. I live way up in northern Michigan, so I was a little worried about them making the trip all the way from California. But, they got here without a scratch! The packaging was really well done and kept those panels safe during their journey. I gotta say, I was pretty impressed with how much care was taken to make sure they arrived in one piece.
Solar Panel Purchase
I recently purchased a really neat solar panel, and I am thrilled about it! I appreciate how it helps in saving energy. The cost was quite reasonable, and it was delivered very quickly. Now, I just need to determine if it will last for 20 years. Hoping for the best!
Battery monitor for RV
I just bought a battery monitor for my RV from Renogy and got it set up this past weekend. It's working great, giving me accurate updates on my batteries. I'm really happy with how well it works and adds a lot to my RV setup. Thanks, Renogy, for another awesome product!
Portable solar panel purchase
I bought a portable solar panel and was really disappointed to find out it was actually used and returned by a customer. It was missing important parts like the handle wrap and manual, and on top of that, it was scratched and dirty. When I reached out to Renology to get a replacement, they couldn't send me a new one before my trip. Now, they're saying they won't replace it once I get back in mid-June. I'm really let down by Renology's lack of quality control and customer service. I won't be buying or recommending their products ever again. I was so upset that I even made a YouTube video to share my bad experience.
Solar panel purchase
The solar panels from this company are really reliable. I've been super impressed with their technical support - they've given me awesome advice on how to get the most out of my system by adding new components. It's been a process upgrading everything, buying the panels at different times, but it's been totally worth it.
Solar panels, batteries, and components
I recently bought some solar panels, batteries, and other stuff from this company. The products were okay, but what really bothered me was how they handled things. One of the batteries I got was no good, causing a bunch of problems like shutting off at 14V. When I contacted them about it, they made me pay a lot to replace it with a used battery that they don't even sell anymore. It was super frustrating, especially since they sold me a defective product in the first place. Even though their products are decent, I won't be dealing with them again because of how they don't take care of their customers.
400w solar kit purchase
I had a really good experience with the 400w solar kit. Everything came quickly and in great shape. The kit had everything I needed for a basic install. But you might want to have some extra cables handy if your setup is more complicated.
Portable 400W solar panel
The 400W solar panel that I got really impressed me with how well it worked. It was super easy to set up and use. The foldable legs made it simple to adjust the panel to get the best sunlight. I do have some doubts about how long the legs will last, though. We'll just have to wait and see how they hold up. But, all in all, I'm happy with how this solar panel performs.
Solar panel kit
I recently purchased a solar panel kit that I think is pretty awesome. It arrived right on schedule and was simple to set up. The only issue I encountered was with the controller. It didn't provide clear instructions on what the "load" connection was meant for. Just be cautious not to connect anything too intense to it!
Solar panel purchase
I just bought a solar panel from this company, and I have to say, I'm really impressed with it. The panel is small and fits perfectly on my battery box. The controller is working great, and I can already see a decrease in my power usage. Overall, I'm really happy with my purchase.
Solar system purchase
I thought the website was really impressive and they had a bunch of helpful info. So I ended up getting a full solar setup with panels and batteries. But there were a few little problems with my order that I needed to get sorted out.

200 Watt Solar Panel and 3,000
I just bought a 200 Watt solar panel and a 3,000 Watt inverter. I wanted it to use as a backup in case my current inverter dies. I was kinda bummed to see that the new inverter ... Read onBy: Alize Kessler
