I was rushing between meetings, needed something calming, and Olga walked me through a few rooibos blends without making me feel rushed. I left with more bags than planned, and they actually got used—morning ritual, mid-afternoon pick-me-up, and a quiet cup before bed. She’s patient, knows the range, and makes choices feel easy. It’s professional but not stiff, and honestly it’s changed my daily tea habit. I don’t usually write reviews, but this time I felt obliged. The store definitely benefits from staff like her; friendly, efficient service.
Used to be good, not anymore
Long story short, I won't order from them again. I'd been a regular for years, but this time I needed some calming tea after a rough move and a sore back, so I ordered tea and cookies online using a 10% birthday discount. They charged about $7.80 for shipping, and the tea arrived looking damp, like it had absorbed moisture. No phone contact, emails replied only sporadically with excuses. In person they'd have swapped it right away; online felt rude and slow. Not terrible, but not worth the hassle or the price.
Loyalty card that vanished from my profile
I first noticed the stamp card at the checkout — a coworker had told me about the freebie, so I started collecting stamps. I actually filled one card and had enough spend to already be halfway through the next, but when I checked my account the completed card was marked “expired” even though it was still within the valid dates. Went into a store in person and the cashier just shrugged, said there was nothing they could do. I messaged customer support in Portuguese and got no reply, waited a week, tried the Spanish channel, still silence. Finally found an email address via the shop’s Instagram and sent everything there weeks ago — crickets. The idea of the program is decent and I liked the perk, but the expired card glitch and total lack of follow-up killed it. Kinda annoying since I’d told someone about it, now I don’t recommend it.
Small shop, weird start, decent finish
manager checked their stock, apologized in a straightforward way, swapped the product and offered a small store credit. Not dramatic, not theatrical, but it was resolved without me having to escalate further. So yeah, I was skeptical going in, had some hassle, but in the end the problem was fixed and I felt the visit was worth it.
Not what I expected, but the tea helped
I went in just to buy a small pack of green tea. It was one of those quick things — grab, pay, go. The service around the membership and the data stuff was a mess. Emails bounced, they delayed deleting my info, and I had to follow up more than once. Still, the tea itself surprised me. It smells fresh when you open the bag, the leaves look whole, not dusty. Brewed it in the morning. The first cup was clean and gentle. Second cup held up too. I like that it’s not bitter even if I let it steep a little longer while I check emails. It fits my routine — a calm ten minutes between tasks. The packaging keeps it tidy in the cupboard. Not luxury, but solid everyday tea. I’m honestly glad I didn’t toss it after the customer service trouble. Would I shop there again right away? Maybe not, unless they fix how they handle member info. But for drinking, the tea does its job and brightened my mornings this week. Small win. If they improved the admin side, that would make the whole experience better.
