it looks simple until you do the math and realize a few sessions add up fast, for what are often just kids hanging out on a screen. My son had one class where he didn’t even have the right software and basically just watched others play; the teacher said she’d try to sort a refund for his credits (that never happened). I paused our membership because I wanted to think it over, and then — surprise — we were charged while paused. I immediately tried support, got an email back saying paused doesn’t stop charges for enrollments (which felt like nonsense) and then when I replied my message bounced. Tried again, bounced. Eventually I found out someone at the company had blocked me. That part was shocking and weird — I’ve never been blocked by a company I pay. On the plus side, when the classes actually work they’re fun for my kid, and the scheduling flexibility is handy. So it’s not all trash, just inconsistent, and the billing/support side is the big problem. I’d use it again only if they fixed the credit transparency and the customer service — and if I could be sure pausing actually paused charges. For now I told my sister to hold off too.
Mid-week mess, but some classes stuck
AoPS math, honors English, a German starter, a couple enrichment bits. I fixed the bank issue the same day, bought a bulk of credits to prevent this, and still had to watch him lose spots. That whole moment felt like a glitchy pinball machine.
