Strange setup, gone quiet on withdrawals

sign-up was oddly smooth and they seemed very helpful at first—assigning an “account manager,” calling, suggesting trades, that sort of thing. The interface (their trading app) actually looked decent and orders filled quickly, which surprised me because I’ve dealt with smaller firms that were clunky. That’s the annoying part: the front end and initial contact were fine, which made me trust them for a bit.
But as soon as I asked to pull money out, everything stopped. The daily messages from the manager dried up, emails went unanswered, and calls came from Indian numbers even though they claimed to be UK-based. Their email signatures had no real phone to call, only a weird Skype ID. So the only live link was Skype, and those IDs felt fake. I tried multiple times over days—no real response.
Money-wise, they asked for a $250 deposit fee and later persuaded me to add more. There were some wins and a small loss due to currency moves, and they even gave a deposit bonus, which sounded good. Still, when it was time to withdraw the balance, no delivery. That failure of the withdrawal process is the core problem here—everything else collapses if you can’t get your cash.
I dug a bit deeper and found the company is registered in the Marshall Islands and they use an app called XCriticalBlack to hold funds. Both of those raised red flags for me. I’ve had quick, honest withdrawals with other brokers before, so this felt off—friendly at first, then silence when it mattered.
One odd, unexpected thing: the product itself (the app UI, trade execution speed) was actually competent. If they were legitimate, it would have been a decent setup. But good tech doesn’t replace basic customer service and reliable withdrawals. I’m reporting this to authorities and telling friends to be cautious. If you value actually getting your money back, don’t rely on the friendly first impressions.
