I went back and forth on buying this because our neighborhood has been mostly quiet. Still, there have been a few dumb door-kicking pranks nearby, and I figured it was worth adding some reinforcement. Put it in last weekend. First impression was solid and the install was pretty simple, except for the included Torx bit. It stripped almost immediately, which was annoying. I used a better T20 bit from my toolbox and finished without much hassle. Feels sturdier now, so the initial doubt is basically gone.
Still Waiting on a Real Response
After opening the package and seeing the DoorArmor piece was bent, I figured a replacement would be simple. I ordered it for extra security after moving into a new place, so it wasn’t something I could just ignore. It’s now been over a week, and I’ve sent several return requests without getting clear instructions or any reply at all. That silence is the frustrating part. I’ve purchased multiple sets before and recommended them to others, which makes this even more disappointing. I’m not asking for much—just a usable replacement or a refund. Right now, customer support feels completely absent.
Instructions Took Some Patience
Halfway through marking the frame, I realized the printed instructions were not clicking for me at all. I bought Door Armor after looking into better security for my rental, but one anti-pry piece seems to require drilling through the door, so I’m holding off on that part. Still, the rest feels solid. The screws went in much more smoothly after I used a 3-inch drill bit, which honestly surprised me. Ordering was easy, and the phone and email support were actually helpful. Everything showed up quickly and packed carefully. I ended up recommending them to a friend, even though the instruction sheet could definitely be clearer.
Still Waiting for Something to Actually Ship
I had some hesitation when I ordered in January, mostly because I hadn’t used this company before, but I figured I’d give it a shot. That doubt was pretty justified, unfortunately. The order status says shipped, yet the carrier tracking only shows a label was created. No scans, no movement, nothing. I started checking in after a while and was told a replacement would go out within the week. I asked for updated tracking once it shipped, which seemed pretty straightforward. That never came either. Every bit of information has required me to reach out first, and the answers haven’t led to an actual package. At this point, I’m not looking for a complicated explanation. I just want active tracking that proves something is on the way, or a refund so I can buy the items somewhere else. It’s been frustrating.
