Terrible company to do business with. Ordered cigars from them and they came stale. It also took 3 weeks to arrive from Pittsburg to Chicago. No telephone number to contact company and they don't respond to emails. BEWARE !!!
Bought a ten count of La Palina blacks from cigar page. I’ve smoked these before a few times. They’re not bad. Not great, but everyone’s gotta have something in the box for when you don’t want to smoke a $15 stick. It was a promotional price, very low, so I went for it. Won’t do that again. They came right away, so their condition can’t be blamed on the shipping. I’d have to describe them as “beyond desiccated”. I mean SO dry. When I took them out of the box they were strangely light, like when you pick up a light bulb. These cigars hadn’t seen the inside of a humidor for two years, conservative estimate. I did what I could to recondition them, for several months. Put them away to rest in a well tended humidor with a couple of 72% Bovedas, hoped and prayed. But when I finally tried to smoke one it burned like a pile of oak leaves in the back yard, canoed up the side, cap fell apart, wrapper unraveled. It was a mess. Zero tobacco flavor, much less any of the other nuance one might hope for. Unsmokable. A disservice to La Palina, and a flat out theft to me. I figured the return procedure wasn’t worth the effort, so I just tossed the cigars and moved on. Congratulations Cigarpage! How clever you are. I spend a couple hundred bucks each year on cigars, and you coulda had a slice of that pie if you’d have treated me fairly. But no, it was far more shrewd to get my first, last and only $20, and watch me ride into the distance. Without calculating in the possible effect of me telling everyone I know ( and those I don’t, who may read this sort of report) to avoid you at all costs. And that’s my Recco to anyone: avoid these guys at all costs. There’re just too many fair minded and reputable tobacco purveyors out there to mess with those of this ilk. — JM
Back in March 2020 i bought a 20 count factory 2nds cigarrs got here in 5 days and i live in oklahoma cigars sit for two days before they shipped any way they got here i let them sit for 24 hrs and then placed them in my newair humidor for 2 weeks at 69% humidity 66 temp i tryed one the damn thing split and started to come unwrapped it was terrible so a couple of days later i tryed another it did the same thing a 3rd a 4th all did the same thing. I needed order some more cigars i talked to customer service i told her about it she said i should have sent them back and would give me 10 points for credit which is 10 cents im 60 years old battling cancer the virus had started my doctor called me and told me to stay in no visitor because my immune system is very week from the radiation treatments i was taking so i couldnt send them back i told her this and she didnt even give damn i told her to keep her 10 cent credit wtf guess what i got my new order today 4/11/2020 and guess what i smoke one and it did the same damn thing the cigars come with no humi pacs so the days it takes to get here and sitting on docks temp change they must go thru is hard on them they doont want to admit its there fault customer service i9 totaly f..ked and dont give a damn i been shoppinng with them for a while im not a valued customer to them offering me 10 cents in credit wtf this is two orders in a row thats been bad im on a fixed income and cant keep doing this buying cigars thats dry stale to the point they crack and split and come unwrapped i been smoking cigars for 30 years i know how to treat my cigars i have a 350 count newair humidor my cigars are well taken care of so i know its not me but i cant send these back either i cant leave my house even my grocerys are delivered and left outside my door i havent seen my grandkids in over a month but she is going to tell me i should have found a way to send them back. I refuse to do business with a company were greed over my health is all that matter she was telling me to risk my life and go to the post office and send back the cigars even after i told her of my condition and what my doctor called and told me no matter what happens dont leave my house because if i catch this virus it would for sure kill me in a matter of a week. Why would i risk my life over some cigars. There are companys just like cigar page that all that matters is how much money they will make during this horrible time across our country and acrooss the world. I owned a company before i retired and still own it just dont go in like i use to my son runs it but we preach customer service to our people because our customers mean alot evven during this virus my son sent grocerys to all of our elderly customers past and present over 2500 people sure it cost but they are the reason we are still in business they help put my company on the map for the last 30 years and guess what my son said the feed back was great seeing the shock and smiles and some tears because they never thought a company would even think of them especially some it had been as long as 10 years since they had did any business with us. We didnt have to do it but we knew we had to do something and we didnt call the news stations because we didnt do it for that we get our blessings from god not from people or any other reason. Simply because it was the right thing to do. And you know what it was the best feeling in the world. All im asking is do the right thing cigar page if not f..k you im sorry for the bad words but people like this make my stomach turn whenn they dont care 10 cents is what they thought my problem was worth think about that when you give them your business. I will keep you informed if they do the right thing i will do the right thing and tell you what they did to make it right because its the right thing to do.
