My receptionist peeled open the last manila and sighed—so that’s how this started. We tried Envelopes.com because the website looked easy. It turned into a slow-motion runaround. First pick was out. They suggested a replacement. Fine. We said yes. Weeks went by. Lots of emails. A few phone calls. Still nothing. At about week three we’re down to a single envelope in the tray and real panic mode. We ended up paying a local print shop sixty bucks and walked out with a neat stack in under two days. Oddly, those local envelopes felt great—heavier stock, crisp flap, no weird curl—pleasant surprise. So, the product itself, when you actually get it, handles well and prints clean. The problem was getting it. Communication from the online seller felt like a ghost—no updates until we chased them. I’ve had better luck with smaller vendors who at least answer the phone. If you hate chasing orders, don’t use this company. If you just care about how the envelopes feel in your hand, you might actually like the local option more, for what it’s worth.
Mismatch and a promise
my first receipt showed the wrong size, I cancelled, reordered, paid $147 total (about $36 for expedited shipping) and still got the wrong items. The seller did email back claiming a “computer glitch,” which was a surprise — at least someone replied — and they say the correct ones arrive next week. Fingers crossed.
