Bauhaus Stained Glass Pendant Light
We've had multiple problems with these (we bought two). I'll try to be brief. 1) The canopies (ceiling fixtures) are small, so make sure your ceiling outlet holes are small. Also, one of the wire pass-throughs had cracked in shipping. We had to buy new canopies for those reasons. Just $20 at a hardware store but annoying. 2) If you tighten the globe at all you're in danger of cracking the glass lampshade, which we did. I mean we just snugged the globe up and ...snap... To their credit, they shipped out a replacement for free. It got to us in 5 weeks. 3) Once you tighten the globe, you can't loosen it. The friction against the plastic washer under the lampshade makes it impossible without first loosening the parts above the lampshade and holding the lampshade up while you struggle, all the while nervous you’re going to crush the globe. I learned this when we had to remove the cracked lampshade. 4) Then I kept the globe a little looser and guess what? It fell, hit the ground, and shattered into a thousand pieces. They shipped out a replacement for free. I thought it was my fault, but on installing the new one I noticed that the metal thread sleeve had come unglued from the globe, so it wasn’t my fault at all. It was just poorly manufactured, and this means it could happen at any moment to the other one! 5) On installing the replacement shade and globe, the ...other... lamp suddenly shorted out. I haven’t investigated it very closely yet apart from making sure it wasn’t a problem with the actual light bulb (it wasn’t). 6) EITHER WAY, and this is really the MOST IMPORTANT THING, the shades do not shade. They are completely transparent. So when the light is on, they might as well be two ..., vaguely yellow bulbs shining into your eyes like interrogation lamps. When they’re off, they look nice. Or at least one of them does. We haven’t yet had both in service at the same time. In all, we’re done with these. It’s been a frustrating experience and a waste of money and time. I’d give it one star, but the customer service is quite good, so they get positive marks for that.
Ceiling light fixtures
HOMDIY has a flashy website with interesting looking lighting designs. What you receive is overpriced ... that doesn't match the online description. Their return policy is essentially "tough ...". Stay away. They hired some designers to make a website, but they don't provide a quality product. On top of all that it took literally months for the items to arrive. Every time I communicated with them they indicated that the items were in shipment from China and the tracking number would not work until they were off the boat. I've waited a very long time, for a low-quality, overpriced product. Steer clear.
Nordic Glass Chandelier Designer Bedroom
I ordered this product a month ago and have continued to check in and was told it would be 10 days, then that it's preparing, then that they needed to check at the warehouse. No one can give me an answer as to where it's at or how long it will take.
Lamp
Never received Item it's been a month since I ordered. A label for shipment was created a week ago and still UPS doesn't have the item in their possession. I can't even track it. I no longer want the item. I will purchase else where. It would've been nice for Homdiy to let the customer know at time of check out the time frame for shipment because I had known it will take 2 months to receive I had not ordered.
