Woke up to my morning setup missing a piece, which annoyed me more than it should. I do love this thing — it's in my daily routine, helps me get ready for work and I still use it every day. So it's a bummer that the last two orders came incomplete and I haven't heard back after three emails. Customer support used to be great, and I miss that. I'm hanging on because the product works, but I'm seriously thinking about trying someone else if this keeps up. Honestly, it's disappointing.
Not what I signed up for
ordered two boxes, got one. When I asked support they basically shrugged and said "check with neighbors" like they didn't even read I only got half. Frustrating, felt ignored. Cancelled, lesson learned, sigh.
Quick order, cold hello
I ducked into Lola’s at Victoria between trains for a sandwich — I eat on the run pretty much every day, so convenience matters. The order was ready way faster than I thought and, surprise, the sandwich actually tasted great. But when I asked if my blue light card would be accepted the response was just "ONLY NHS" — blunt and a bit rude. I’m a military vet, so that curt reply hit a nerve. Delivery/pickup speed was a win, customer-facing manners need some serious work. Also, the coffee was oddly decent. I’ll probably think twice about coming back.
Stayed for a reason
I could pause my subscription when I was pregnant, which saved me from having to remember to skip orders every month (honestly, that alone was a relief). They've also made small moves toward accessibility and better representation, which I notice and like. Prices are a tad higher than drugstore stuff, but for the peace of mind I kept coming back.
Compact but pricey, and a few annoyances
I actually leaked within an hour on a Super+ once, which is not normal for me since my flow is usually light. So yeah, I do wonder if their absorbency is inconsistent. The bigger headache, though, is the price — Lola’s site charges way more than the same boxes at regular retailers. Learned that the hard way and now I just buy elsewhere; no point overpaying. Also bought a pack of their pregnancy tests last fall to keep on hand (because running to the store during a panic is the worst), and they expire in six months. Six months. Who uses four tests that fast? Other brands I’ve used sat on the shelf for years before expiring — like three years. I reached out and asked for a refund or at least an explanation, but they wouldn’t refund me. So, mixed bag: nice design and organic is a plus, but price, short expiry, and the customer service response knocked my trust down a lot.
Seemed fine until removal
I almost didn’t buy these — my usual brand was gone and a coworker suggested these, so I grabbed them off the drugstore shelf. I was worried about fit and the price, honestly, but the applicator felt smooth and the absorbency seemed fine at first, so I figured, okay. Then when I went to change, one unraveled inside me and I had to dig around — not great, felt painful and a bit burning. My initial doubts didn’t go away; in fact they were confirmed. On the plus side, packaging is neat and they arrived quickly when I ordered a backup online, but quality-wise this was a miss. Won’t buy again.
