I'm actually relieved in the end, but getting there was unnecessarily painful. I ordered some little things I use all the time — bits for weekend DIY, a couple of cheap gadgets I keep in the car, and a small batch of holiday gift stuff — and I messed up the delivery address. So yes, it was my fault to enter the wrong address, but the company made it harder than it needed to be to sort out. I use these kinds of orders in my daily routine — quick replacements, cheap extras, nothing fancy — so I wanted a fast correction and to get the items where they needed to go without jumping through hoops. What happened is: I emailed support immediately, got what looked like a helpful reply from "Lisa", supplied the right info, and for a bit it sounded like things were under control. Then the conversation stalled and I realized "Lisa" was a bot and my case had been passed on. That should be fine if the handoff works, but it didn't. No one answered the phone. No way to leave a message. Further emails went unanswered for most of the next day. When someone finally did reply in the afternoon I was told it was too late — the order was packed and ready for dispatch. That was technically true, but it felt like nobody wanted to take the small step required to update the delivery. I reached out to the courier after seeing the pickup scheduled, but their automated system also wouldn't let me talk to a human. The whole morning and afternoon were a loop of robots and canned replies. At that point I started imagining having to receive the package, repack, pay postage again and hope it would get to the intended recipient before the holidays. Not great. Then a real person named Jamal called and actually fixed things — that’s the turning point. He was direct, efficient, and offered two reasonable options: resend to the correct address or refund the order so I could prevent duplication and use the refunded funds to forward the items myself. I chose the refund because it seemed simplest and it covered the extra postage I would otherwise have to pay. So the end result was good: I got a refund quickly and the person I spoke to seemed to care and know what to do. The process leading up to that was frustrating and felt robotic, and I suspect this place is pretty small and overwhelmed, which explains a lot but doesn't excuse the lack of basic human accessibility. If you use this shop for everyday small purchases like I do, expect occasional glitches and be prepared to push a little to get through. The positives: the staff who actually pick up calls or respond can be effective and fair, and they handled the resolution cleanly once a real person engaged. The negatives: the automated support and lack of phone access are time-consuming and anxiety-inducing when timing matters. So I'm left somewhat skeptical but overall satisfied that the concrete problem got resolved without me losing money. I'll think twice before ordering under tight deadlines, but I wouldn't rule them out completely for non-urgent stuff.
Small win, big disappointment
don’t gamble on mystery boxes from a place that can’t or won’t give you tracking. My advice to others — if you buy, get clear shipping timelines and save receipts of every contact. I won’t shop here again. A shame, because that one small useful gadget was actually kind of great.
