I had this weird feeling before I ordered — stories online made me hesitate, but the price was decent so I took a chance. Big mistake. The first delivery went to the wrong unit in a shared building; I took photos and sent them, clear as day, but their partner and Viking took weeks to look into it. They resent the item but somehow charged me again, and that second parcel also ended up misplaced in another unit. I emailed and waited over two weeks for a reply saying they're still investigating and mentioning "work overload" as the reason. Meanwhile my account shows two unpaid invoices. It felt like they only move fast when someone posts a public complaint — replies to reviews are much quicker than to direct customer emails. I've had worse and better service elsewhere, and this sits low on my list. My doubts before buying weren't eased; they were confirmed. On the plus side the site was easy and the price wasn't awful, but the delivery and support need serious fixing.
Half-packed and fed up
Right in the middle of packing my hospital bag I got that baffling overdue email — for twice what I actually paid. I ordered this late last month because I needed it quick; the first delivery turned out to be broken. They collected it and sent a replacement, and I remember feeling relieved when that showed up — finally something that looked usable and I actually started using it a couple days later. Then, out of nowhere a month later, I get chased for an invoice that’s double the original amount. Apparently they refunded my first order and charged me again for the replacement, and somehow now I’m being billed for two orders. I’ve been ping-ponging with customer service for days. Different people tell me different stories, my account still shows the wrong amount and “overdue,” and they keep asking for the same details even though I’ve sent them a dozen times. I asked for a manager, filed complaints, tried to get someone to actually look at the account — no luck. I even reached out to Citizens Advice and a lawyer because it’s become that stressful. Delivery itself was fine after the replacement, and I did feel a little hopeful when the new item arrived, but the whole billing and service mess has been awful. I’m about to have a baby, so the extra stress is the last thing I need. I’ll pay what I owe, but I shouldn’t be chased for their mistakes. They delivered a broken item and it’s still not sorted.
Delivery and service mess
I placed an order that included free carriage and paid via PayPal. One item turned out to be discontinued and somehow they tried to charge me for the carriage anyway. Calling customer service was a slog, like you’re explaining things to someone who’s only halfway listening, but eventually I got a refund for that part. Then I noticed I’d been charged for the discontinued item itself. I emailed, they said the goods were delivered — I know they weren’t. At that point I gave up on the call centre; it felt like talking to toddlers, honestly. Fast forward 16 months and I get a letter from solicitors chasing payment. I sent the Viking invoice showing PayPal payment — they wouldn’t accept it as proof. Instead of asking Viking why the invoice even existed, they just tacked on extra costs and passed it along. I ended up writing to the UK CEO because the call centre couldn’t help; apparently Viking had moved my order onto an invoice without telling me, supposedly to avoid PayPal fees. PayPal told me they should have captured the payment within 28 days and issued a partial refund, but Viking moved things within five days. Meanwhile the remaining items were delivered late so I bought replacements elsewhere. Eventually I paid by bank transfer — because I didn’t trust PayPal to capture it again — and, weirdly, they did refund the overcharge nearly 18 months later. So there was an unexpected positive at the end, but the delivery timing and customer service were the real problems. Used to be better; other companies handle this cleaner. Won’t be ordering from them again.
Finally got the gloves, but it was a circus
I ended up with the gloves, which is good, but the whole delivery and customer service saga was frustrating and sloppy. They sent a tracking email with a delivery date, then that same day emailed that delivery “failed” even though no one came to the house. Then they rescheduled, sent another tracking notice, and again nothing arrived. I emailed several times (five-ish) and called way more (seven to nine times?), and the phone line kept dropping. The online chat was impossible to get through to. So yeah, communication was non-existent most of the time. Eventually the parcel showed up — left on the doorstep — but the box was damaged and items were missing. A few days later I even got an email saying it was delivered with a signature that wasn’t mine. That felt like outright falsified paperwork. I filed a complaint and the response I got was basically, “that driver isn’t with us anymore,” which felt like them washing their hands of it. I’m happy I have the gloves now (mostly), and the product itself seems fine, but the process was a mess and I had to chase them a lot. If you decide to order, be ready to follow up: take photos of deliveries, check contents immediately, and keep pushing customer service if something’s wrong. I do appreciate that I got what I ordered in the end, and maybe this was an unlucky run — still, they need to sort out tracking accuracy and how they handle damage/missing items. Hope they improve because it could be a lot smoother.
Need-it-yesterday printer drama
30 a.m., paid with the charity debit card, got the confirmation email in minutes — felt tidy, felt done. Fast forward to late afternoon and I miss a call from them. Irritating, but okay, I call back.
