Only then did they give a real phone number and eventually ship a replacement unit. The new chiller works fine. But the billing saga — the refund showed up from the card company and yet they still sent a bill — felt sloppy, almost like they forgot to reconcile. So, product acceptable, service disappointing; won't be as quick to trust them again.

Setup was shockingly simple; the tub and chiller came sturdy, insulated, and everything felt solid out of the box. The small extras—repair patches, pump, and the how-to videos—actually mattered, helped me not mess up the first time. Admittedly, the lid developed an air leak and one of the chillers showed damage from shipping (probably not Vital's fault), and yeah I panicked a bit. Customer service stepped in fast, though — replacements were sent without a big back-and-forth, and they even added extra filters and a housing. That smoothed things over, really. I use it almost every morning now, keeps recovery short, cuts down my caffeine needs, and it's become a part of my wake-up routine. Would I worry again? Maybe a tiny bit, just because stuff happens, but the company's quick help made me stop stressing. All in all, glad I bought it—simple to use, practical, and it actually works in daily life. Neighbors ask about it and I tell them honestly, it's been worth the money.
Not what I expected, but it sort of works now
I needed this cold plunge because my back has been a pain for years and I hoped it would actually help — and eventually it did, but getting there was a mess. The unit arrived and looked fine, but it never worked properly out of the box. I paid a plumber to hook it up — paid about $200 — and it leaked the first day. Then it threw error codes every time I tried to turn it on. Super frustrating.
Customer service was based in Australia and, as you can imagine, the time zones made everything sloooow. There was basically one person handling things and she asked me to walk through a long, ten-step reprogramming routine and film it. I tried, my plumber tried, the video upload failed, the machine still had issues. At one point she gave me the wrong return address, so I ended up paying $300 to ship it back to the wrong place before they corrected it. That was on me and on them — not great.
My plumber said the fittings felt cheap, plastic where metal would’ve made more sense, so leaks weren’t surprising. It felt like they expected customers to be engineers. I thought maybe I got a one-off bad unit, but the detailed reprogramming instructions and the way support handled me made it seem like a recurring problem.
After a lot of back-and-forth, they offered a partial resolution (not the ideal refund I wanted), and I kept the replacement they sent. Now it actually cools and helps my back when it’s running correctly. So, I’d warn people: be ready for headaches, slow replies, and unexpected shipping costs. If you can handle a fight and a possible repair, it might help you — otherwise, be cautious.
