Subscription renewal
I had the worst time ever dealing with this company! They really thought they could just take my personal info and credit card number without asking me, all because of some lame "terms of service." Like, come on, the law is more important than your rules, dude! And then they have the audacity to bombard me with these spammy marketing emails that you can't even opt out of. Are you for real? So sketchy. And don't even get me started on trying to get rid of my account and info - it's been a total disaster. Honestly, I'm never going back to them, and I hope their outdated user interface disappears.
Monthly subscription for tech support
I just signed up for a monthly tech support subscription at this place, but man, was I let down by the service I got. I waited three whole days for them to call me back about a technical problem, and by the time they did, I was so annoyed and unhappy. The program itself was all glitchy and kept messing up, which only made me more frustrated. And then on top of all that, I had to pay extra for a code just to talk to support - like, seriously? Definitely not what I was expecting. Overall, my time with this service was pretty lousy, so I'll definitely be looking for a different option going forward.
Pro Tools Support
Man, this service is just way too pricey for what you actually get. It's like shelling out cash for a top-notch bike but ending up with a tricycle. The software crashes constantly, it's like watching my little cousin wipe out trying to nail a skateboard trick. Avid just doesn't seem to give a darn about their customers, it's as if they only care about things made of paper. We dropped a ton of cash on this software and it turns out to be the most unreliable thing ever! I thought I had my paperwork all under control, but I'm still stuck in the same spot.
Music writing program purchase
I bought this music writing program online recently and honestly, it was a total letdown. So, I downloaded the program, only to find out that I didn't get the key I needed to unlock all the features. The so-called "help" videos were no help at all, and the bot responses to my questions were just plain useless. I wasted hours trying to figure out how to get the key, but nothing worked. I definitely won't be shopping with them again.
App that keeps logging me out
I really can't stand this app! It keeps logging me out and forgetting my password. I can't even get anything done because it's always kicking me out of my account. It's such a hassle and such a time-waster. Avid, please just get rid of this app altogether. I just want to use Pro Tools without the headache of struggling to log in for hours.
Crippling automation bug
I ran into a major problem with the software recently that's been messing up how I get my work done. I've been trying to get help from Avid for months now, but they haven't been able to fix it. I've sent them a bunch of videos showing the issue and had a lot of back and forth emails with their support team, but nothing has changed. It seems like they're stuck and not doing anything about it. This bug is a big problem for me because I need to deliver a movie to network TV every month, and it's slowing me down a lot. I've had to find a temporary solution that's making everything take longer and causing a lot of frustration and delays in my work. I've gotta start looking into other software options to try and fix this situation.
Pro Tools purchase
I've had such a frustrating experience with this company. Their customer service is terrible, and overall, it's been so disappointing. I bought Pro Tools and I've regretted it from the start. The lack of communication and support from them is just not okay. It's obvious that all they care about is making sales, not satisfying their customers. I really suggest checking out other options like Reaper, Ableton, or Logic instead.
Industry leading software
I've been using this software for more than twenty years now, and I have to say, I'm really surprised by all the negative reviews I've been seeing lately. It's kind of sad that some people are upset about having to pay for such a well-known and respected set of tools. In my experience, Avid has always been top-notch when it comes to performance and reliability, making it a must-have for industry professionals like myself. The support forums they have are amazing, offering a ton of helpful information and assistance for anyone dealing with issues. If you need some extra support, I definitely suggest checking out the community at the link I mentioned in my review.
Lots of money wasted
I've spent way too much money on this company that only cares about making a profit. They don't really offer any good service, they just want your money for their expensive subscription-based products. Even though I've been a loyal customer for years, they treat me like garbage. It's impossible to actually speak to a human on the phone, their website is a disaster, and everything is way too expensive. Music stores are recommending that people look for other options because they're tired of being taken advantage of. The CEO and Board really need to be replaced!
Software update
The customer service at this place is just terrible. I mean, I don't mind paying for quality service, but for what they charge, you'd think you could at least talk to someone on the phone. Nope, instead they make you struggle through their messed up website all by yourself. It's frustrating, you know?
Software purchase
The software can be a little tricky to get it working right. It's awesome when it's working, but lately, I've been having a lot of problems with it not starting up correctly. Customer service has been pretty helpful when I've emailed them, but the same issues keep popping up after about a month of it running smoothly. This has been going on for years, and it's getting really frustrating. Personally, I'd suggest trying out MuseScore instead. It might be a little slow when you're scrolling through long scores, but it does a good job for educational stuff.
Unauthorized annual subscription debit
This morning, I saw that there was a charge for over $300 on my account from Avid, and I didn't even sign up for their yearly subscription. I've been trying for the past couple of hours to find a phone number to talk to a real person about this billing problem, but I haven't had any luck. It looks like I can only deal with chatbots and sign-up for online cases. I'm pretty annoyed and could really use some help getting this sorted out quickly.
Online program subscription renewal
Renewing my subscription to this online program has been a total nightmare. I've used it in the past, but the new subscription setup is causing me a lot of headaches. Instead of just buying it outright, now you have to commit to paying monthly or yearly. After canceling my old subscription and trying to renew for a new project, I just ended up getting lost in a confusing mess on their website. Honestly, the whole process has been so frustrating and time-consuming. And now they're making me jump through hoops by purchasing a license through some third-party manager, which never used to be a thing. It's all needlessly complex and just a big waste of my time. I've spent more time trying to figure out their website and waiting for support than I've actually spent using the program.
Wasted subscription
I recently bought a subscription that turned out to be a major letdown and waste of both time and money. I've been trying for more than a month now, but I still can't figure out how to install the products and actually use them. It's super frustrating because I only have one month left in my university course, and I really wanted to use these tools for my projects. I tried reaching out to their tech team for help, but the links they sent me were useless. Plus, they said they'd call me back but never did. It's really disappointing that they're not more on top of things, especially since it's so important to support the next generation of editors like me. It's no surprise that other universities are switching to alternative programs like Premier Pro, which have way better customer service and support.
Subscription renewal for Pro Tools
I've been a loyal customer for years, but I'm really disappointed about Pro Tools not having native support for Apple M1. It's been two years since Apple silicon was released, and I still can't use all my favorite plugins, especially the ones by Acustica. I just renewed my subscription for another year, hoping things would improve, but I'm starting to lose patience. Changing names all the time doesn't matter if the software isn't keeping up with new technology. If they don't fix this issue soon, I might have to think about switching brands. Customers can only put up with so much.
Updated software compatibility issue
I'm really upset about the software update I bought recently. It doesn't work with my operating system and trying to get help has been a disaster. I got zero response after reaching out for support. And on top of that, they have the nerve to charge for asking a question without giving any help! It's just not right. The way this company is treating their customers is super disappointing. They don't even try to give basic customer service. I'm going to start looking for other options so I don't have to deal with this kind of incompetence again.
Digital Audio Workstation subscription
Man, let me tell you about this company's website - it's a complete mess! Their DAW is so outdated and just not up to par with what other companies are offering. And don't even get me started on their actual website, it's just on a whole other level of terrible. I had to reach out to customer support so many times just to get my subscription reactivated because the website kept crashing and freezing every time I tried to checkout. And trying to download my invoice? Forget about it, it was a total nightmare! Error messages left and right, pages failing to load - it's like they don't even want to take my money. It's ridiculous that in this day and age, a company can't even get their website to function properly. This has got to be one of the worst website experiences I've had in years.
Music distribution platform
Man, let me tell you, this music distribution platform is a total nightmare. It's like they don't give a damn about us customers. I've been dealing with so many problems trying to upload my music and don't even get me started on getting paid through Avid Link - what a pain in the butt! It's crazy to me that a company would actually make it hard for artists to do simple stuff. I'm definitely gonna start looking for a different distributor after this mess. It's really disappointing because I was hoping for a smooth and easy experience, but that's definitely not what I got with this platform.
Pro tools software
I got this software and let me tell you, it was a real nightmare trying to get any help with the issues I was having. The customer service was just terrible and nobody seemed to want to lend a hand. It's like they don't give a darn about their customers. It's beyond frustrating trying to use this software without any support. I wouldn't suggest it to anyone. Total waste of money.
Sibelius 7 Software Purchase
After using Sibelius 7 for many years, I finally decided to shell out for the full online product with a perpetual license. But guess what? I was bummed to discover that I needed to login to Avid Link every single week to activate it, even though I had already paid for a perpetual license. It's annoying to have to keep doing this activation dance, especially when it goes against the whole point of having a perpetual license.
