Bad customer service experience
I had a not so great experience with customer service recently. I had some specific questions but the senior member who helped me gave me really generic answers and didn't seem to know much about how things work at the company. It took a whole 4 days to finally get my issue sorted out, and by then, a special deal had already expired. I missed out on getting a course at a discounted price because of this. Whenever I asked to talk to a manager or get some help from someone higher up, those requests were ignored. I was pretty frustrated with the lack of support I received. Now I'm feeling unsure about spending money on expensive courses from this company.
Annual subscription
I really love the videos! Getting the annual subscription is such a good deal, even if you only take a few courses here and there. The content is amazing, and I always end up learning something new. I highly recommend it!
Subscription course
I used to love this platform and bought a lot of courses and even signed up for more. But, lately, I feel like they're not releasing as many good courses as before. I thought the subscription was a good idea at first, but now I feel like I just threw my money away. The courses they have aren't getting updated, and the new ones are too generic. So, I decided to cancel my subscription and can't really tell others to use this platform anymore. It's disappointing to see them go downhill like this, especially when so many people are looking for online learning options.
Photography courses
The photography classes on this site are really disappointing. The videos are old and use outdated software like Photoshop. It's hard to really get into the material and apply it to what's happening in the industry now. Plus, it's a pain trying to switch between classes, which is super annoying when you're looking for stuff that's more current. If you want some new and interesting photography courses, you're better off checking out some other places.
CreativeLive class on memoir writing
I've been a fan of CreativeLive for a while now, and I gotta say, their classes are top-notch. The dedication, instruction, and production value in all their topics are just unmatched. I recently took a memoir writing class led by bestselling author Joyce Maynard, and it was a game-changer for me as a writer. Her advice and guidance were so valuable, and the fact that I can go back and review the materials whenever I want is huge. Being able to download the course content was a real bonus too, since I could work offline and really soak in all of Ms. Maynard's wisdom. If you're looking to level up your skills and knowledge in a convenient and accessible way, CreativeLive is the way to go. Highly recommend it!
Scammy auto-renew
Oh my gosh, this company is the absolute worst! They automatically renew your subscription without even giving you a heads up, and then they end up charging you twice! It's crazy how long it takes for customer service to even get back to you. If you're thinking about buying from them, just be careful!
Beginner photography course
I bought this beginner photography course to figure out how to work my new camera. John Greengo's course was super helpful and easy to follow. I swear, I learned more in that first hour than I did in weeks of trying to watch YouTube videos. My only regret is not getting this course earlier. Also, I stumbled upon some free on air videos and a daily free lesson. Only downside is I could only watch them on my iPad, not my laptop. Probably my own fault for not being the best with tech stuff.
Photography courses
I've been with them for a bit and every time they have a sale on photography courses, I jump on it. But lately, I've noticed they're not keeping up. The photography courses are outdated, missing info on new mirrorless cameras and drones. Some courses are old and need a refresh. It feels like they're always having sales, which makes me think they're having trouble keeping up. Honestly, I wouldn't be shocked if someone buys them out soon.
Numerous high-quality courses purchased
I've been a customer for a while now and have bought a bunch of courses from this place. I gotta say, the quality of the courses is top-notch and totally worth it. One thing I really like is being able to watch a free video preview of any course on their app, so I can decide if it's worth buying.
Newborn photography course
I just bought a newborn photography course on this platform and it was just what I was looking for. I already knew a bit about photography, but I really wanted to focus on taking pictures of newborns. This course by Kelly Brown was spot-on. The content was super detailed and thorough, and I feel like I learned a ton. One thing to keep in mind is that you should be comfortable using a DSLR camera in full manual mode before diving into this course. Overall, I feel way more confident when it comes to handling newborns during a photoshoot now.
