Needed it for a move, got billed instead

I was in the middle of moving and my back was killing me, so I needed a simple e-sign solution to handle leases and medical forms without getting up. DocuSign looked like the obvious pick. Signing up was quick, which I liked at first. Then I couldn't log in to cancel. The website and support pages were useless. I got charged $75, so I opened a card dispute. A month later another $75 showed up. Two charges, same issue. I jumped into live chat hoping for a straightforward fix. The agent confirmed the account was closed, but only if I removed the dispute first — which felt off and like they wanted me to give up my only leverage. While I was still responding, the chat was cut off. No refund, no clear resolution. Using the service felt impersonal, like talking to a wall, even though the idea and interface seemed okay. For my situation it could've been helpful, but the billing and support experience left me frustrated and I won't be going back.

    Nice tool, dodgy billing

the app itself does what it says, but watch the billing like a hawk. I needed an e-sign service because I was in the middle of a move and also trying to sign a few freelance contracts — juggling boxes and PDFs is not my favorite hobby. I went with the annual plan because I thought "save money, be smart." Turns out I was not that smart. The subscription auto-renewed and I noticed two days later. I canceled right away. I hadn’t used a single new document. At first I was ready to rant. I sent a message to support, half expecting empathy, and got boilerplate. No pro-rated refund. Nope. That annoyed me. Still, the platform itself is fine. Signing is quick. Templates are okay. Mobile works. After stewing for a bit I called back, talked to a different rep, and they offered account credit and helped me switch to a monthly plan — not ideal, but workable. So I’m skeptical, and I still think annual renewals should be clearer, but the actual product does its job and the second support agent salvaged things. If you need reliability during a hectic time — like a move plus client work — it’ll save your butt. Just don’t sleep on that renewal date. Keep an eye on it, seriously.

    Unexpected shutdown, partial refund handled

I signed up because I needed the service that same week, and two days later my account was shut down — no warning, no real explanation. I’m glad customer support eventually confirmed a $450 refund, and honestly I appreciate the person who followed up and moved that along. They were responsive and kept things moving, so thanks for that. Still, the situation left a bad taste. I paid $465 total, and that extra $15 subscription fee is still hanging there. It’s not about the money so much as principle: I paid for access I couldn’t use because the system or account handling failed on their end. Delivery, in the sense of access to the product, simply didn’t happen. That’s where it went wrong. The support rep did their job well — professional, quick, and polite — and I do want that noted. It made the whole thing less painful than it could have been. But the company-side processes look sloppy: accounts closed without notice, billing that doesn’t match service rendered. I’ve had mixed luck with other platforms before — some screwups, some smooth rides — so I’m not coming from nowhere. This one just felt more avoidable and, frankly, disappointing. I would appreciate a clear confirmation that the full $465 will be refunded so we can close this properly. If that happens, I’ll be relieved and a lot more willing to recommend or at least not warn people away. For now I can say the customer rep deserves credit, the refund progress was positive, but the failure to deliver access and the lingering $15 charge are serious negatives. I’ll be sharing a factual account of this experience on review sites so others know what happened, and I hope the company tightens up the delivery and billing steps so fewer people run into this.
