will this actually be free, how hard is it to cancel, do they hide charges. I told myself I could manage the 7-day window, but life — and some real stress — got in the way. I was prepping for a medical procedure and my mind was elsewhere, so I forgot to cancel. That's on me, sure. But what followed felt unfair. They charged me twice, totaling about $100, despite never finalizing or using any documents from their system. I tried to be reasonable with support; I explained the situation, asked for a refund, showed screenshots of not completing anything. Their reply was basically "it's in the contract, no refunds." No empathy, no flexibility. So my doubts before signing—about auto-enrollment and hidden fees—didn't vanish. They were justified. On the other hand, the templates themselves looked fairly standard and might be fine if you actually use them; I didn't get that far. I also dug around and found plenty of free or low-cost alternatives (state bar sites, public forms, even other trial services that are clearer about billing). The upshot: the product might work for some people, but the billing and refund policy are rigid and not consumer-friendly. If you're organized and will definitely cancel within the trial window, you might be fine. If you're distracted or under stress, you risk being billed and hitting a wall with customer service. I ended up disputing the charges with my card company and recommending anyone in my position to do the same, and to save signup screenshots and terms. Small positive: the site looked professional and the forms seemed legitimate. Big negative: their cancellation/refund stance felt predatory. So, practical takeaways — be extra careful, don't rely on memory alone, and consider safer free alternatives first.
