it’s a Tuesday afternoon, the garage smells like old oil and new wood, and I’m staring at a crate the size of a small house wondering if I accidentally ordered a carnival ride. That’s how it started. I ordered the Napolie Plus Cadillac reformer with the 14” legs because I’m short and like doing lunges and floor box work without feeling like I’m on stilts. First impression when I finally opened it — after a minor panic about how to even open the crate — was mostly “wow, that’s hefty,” then “huh, this feels nicer than I thought,” and then “oh good, nothing’s bent,” which was a relief since the outside of the crate looked like it had been in a fight. The crate showed damage, not salvageable, so I made sure to mark that on the paperwork before the delivery guys rolled it into the garage with a pallet jack. They were early, no call, just showed up. I tipped them; they earned it.
I’ll be honest: unboxing was a small adventure. The crate was sealed differently than the company’s video, which threw me off, and I messaged customer service. Matteo actually emailed back with good guidance on how to open it without becoming an amateur carpenter — nice save there. Inside? Everything was wrapped, and despite the exterior beat-up, none of the actual parts were damaged, which was a pleasant surprise. Something about that felt almost lucky.
Putting the Cadillac together felt like a cross between an IKEA project and a scavenger hunt. The PDF instructions you print from their site don’t line up perfectly with the parts in the box — numbers and letters pointing at different things, missing toolkit bits compared to what the documents list — so you end up toggling between the online PDF, product photos on the site, and several YouTube videos. My husband put it together, and yes, it got done, but there were moments of “which bolt was this supposed to be?” and “wait, is that bracket flipped the other way in the video?” A few more consistent, clear instructions would have avoided the head-scratching. Also, some photos show different orientations for the same metal leg bracket cover, so you really have to pick a reference and stick with it.
When you finally test it, though — the carriage slides silky smooth and quieter than I expected. Important tip: cut the zip ties on the springs. Left them on by mistake for a couple quick test reps and thought the machine had stage fright; once the ties were cut it was whisper-smooth. The upholstery looks tough, no cheap vibes, and the platforms, trapeze, push-through bar, straps, springs, and the little fuzzy things are all nice quality. The foot bar is the pull-up-and-out style, not the latch-handle style I’d seen in some vids, so if you have a preference know that ahead of time.
A few annoyances: I kept seeing the Napolie Plus in ads and on the app with extra eyebolts on the vertical frame so you can hook springs at different heights. I asked three reps and got three different answers, and mine arrived without the eyebolts or even pre-drilled holes to add them. That was a real bummer because I wanted more spring attachment options for arm and leg work. Also, the springs arrived with carabiners, not double-ended clasp hooks — switching springs is clumsier with the carabiners, and I’d have preferred the other style. Little thing but it matters when you’re mid-flow.
Shipping timeline was mostly okay but had hiccups. I ordered mid-February, they shipped pretty quickly from Atlanta, but the truck routed past Vegas to Fontana. Logistics company called to schedule delivery, then called back saying they didn’t have the crate, then finally set a delivery window and showed up early. Not ideal, but it did arrive. The dowel and the lifetime warranty paperwork, along with oils and cleaners, came separately from Ohio later on, so expect multiple packages.
The Personal Hour app is handy for guided stuff, but don’t expect a fully loaded library — only a handful of workouts are on there, so you won’t find everything you want right away. I did like that I could reference a few quick videos while I figured out setup though. The surprising part — and this is worth mentioning — was how sturdy the whole thing feels under movement. The frame doesn’t wobble, the carriage tracks like butter, and the sound is minimal if you set it up right. That quietness was honestly more delightful than I thought it would be; I hadn’t expected it to feel so solid for the price.
Would I recommend it? Yes, with some caveats. If you’re comfortable with a bit of DIY, can tolerate unclear instructions, and don’t rely on social media pics to be exact representations (they sometimes show options that aren’t included), you’ll probably love how it feels when you actually use it. If you want every accessory and a perfectly matched manual, be prepared to ask lots of questions before buying. Overall, it’s a quality machine that could use better documentation and more consistent parts, but for the way it moves and how it handles in real workouts, I’m glad we went for it — I’ve already told a couple Pilates friends about it, and they were curious. It’s not perfect, but it’s a solid piece that actually makes you want to practice more, which in the end is what matters to me.Cautiously relieved
clearer final assembly steps for each model would help. Overall relieved and satisfied.
Built to do the job
Worth it, even with the wait. I got this because my lower back kept acting up and after moving I needed a reliable reformer at home — studios were hit or miss. The unit is solid. Feels well made and heavy enough that it doesn’t wobble. Ordering was straightforward. The support team answered questions without fluff and actually followed up. It’s made-to-order so delivery did take a while; not great if you're impatient. Setup went fine and it's been steady in daily use. Small annoyances pop up now and then, but overall I'm glad I made the switch.
Almost ghosted, then impressed
they fixed the shipping glitch, sent an upgraded reformer right away, and it arrived 2/12. The moment I unboxed it and saw the quality — well packaged, easy to bolt together — that’s when I knew they made it right. I swapped my one-star irritation for a five-star shout-out. Tip for buyers: keep your order emails and don’t be shy to follow up — it worked for me.
Feels right in the room
no wobble, smooth carriage, springs feel responsive (not too bouncy, not dead). The padding is firm but comfortable, winter-white looks clean and the light wood gives the whole thing a calm, studio vibe. Setup took us a bit; my husband and I could assemble most of it but we needed a young neighbor to help lug it up four stairs. Worth it though, because it's built sturdy but also kind of pretty. Shipping was surprisingly straightforward: the carrier called with a delivery window, the seller called beforehand to confirm, and it arrived in a heavy wooden crate with zero scratches. First few sessions have been really enjoyable — honestly better than I expected — and it's settled into my small fitness corner like it belongs. Glad I took the chance; it feels like an upgrade to my workouts.
Delivery-first, install-last
I needed this reformer because my lower back has been acting up and my physio recommended more at-home Pilates — so I ordered one that said it included delivery and installation. The machine itself arrived in solid shape; honestly it's well built and feels sturdy (no complaints there). The problem was the delivery and the follow-up. They dropped the unit off a day earlier than the confirmed appointment and didn’t call or text — just left it at the door. I was counting on the promised setup because I can’t heft gear right now, and that didn’t happen.
I used their online form exactly like the site told me to, even attached photos. The site explicitly said not to email separately, so I didn’t. And then… silence. No phone number anywhere on the order info or packing slip, only a certificate with a QR code that links to setup instructions (useful, but not a substitute for help). After about 24–48 hours I started chasing them; no response. That felt like being passed around because I followed their process.
They eventually replied to this review and clarified some things — which I appreciate — and I’ll bump my view of them slightly because of that. But the whole “white glove” thing is muddy. At checkout there was a $65 option labeled delivery and installation, which is why I picked it. Only later did someone mention a $700 white-glove service, which is a big jump and should be clearer up front. So yes, quality product, yes it works for my rehab, but the logistics and customer service were clumsy and frustrating. It’s a practical, decent reformer ruined a bit by confusing fees and slow communication. I’m relieved to have it; annoyed by the process.Quietly brilliant reformer
the folding mechanism is actually everything. Sounds boring, I know, but for apartment living and my clumsy mornings it’s a game changer. It folds up smooth and fast, not like those stiff, awkward pieces that make you wrestle and then regret buying anything. It’s intuitive — I can do it one-handed if I need to, and that has saved me from so many “I don’t feel like moving this” excuses. Beyond that, the frame is gorgeous hardwood and the glide is insanely smooth, like, you barely have to think about resistance changes. If you’ve had cheap reformers before you’ll notice immediately — movements feel supported, not rattly. The padding is comfy too; I actually look forward to rolling on it, which is saying something. Customer service was unexpectedly kind and real. The owner checked in, answered questions without sounding like a script, and helped me figure out a small setup detail over the phone. That human touch mattered because I was nervous about assembly and about whether it would actually help my back. It did, slowly but noticeably — I’m sleeping better and missing Pilates less. My only small gripe is the price felt steep at first, but after using it for weeks I keep thinking about studio-level gear I used to rent and, honestly, this compares favorably. Overall I’m really glad I made the jump. It looks like furniture, moves like pro gear, and folds away when I need space — practical and pretty, which is rare.
