ProWritingAid compatibility issue
My experience with ProWritingAid was really frustrating. I was told it would work with Google Docs, but when I had problems, they said it couldn't handle Google's changes. I tried a bunch of times to fix things and asked for a refund, but they wouldn't give me one.
Useless software
This software is not worth paying for. It has a lot of issues in Apple Pages, and you can get the same features for free with ChatGPT. I recommend saving your money and finding a better alternative.
Typed 'very limited aid,' overrode multiple languages, had to do most punctuations on my own
The program didn't offer much help since it could only do basic English. I had to step in and fix translations for French, Spanish, Greek, old biblical English, and names on my own. On top of that, the program didn't help with punctuation, so I had to take care of that too. I paid $120 for it, so I thought it would be more thorough and make writing easier.
Writing tool
I really like using the writing tool to help me get better at writing. It gives me really good suggestions and feedback to make my work better overall. The interface is easy to use and understand, which makes it really convenient. The only downside is that it only works in English, and I sometimes write in other languages too. But even with that limitation, I still think the tool is super helpful for my writing.
Editing software
The software was working great and then suddenly it just stopped working for no reason. I tried using the help system, but it was no help at all. The support team took forever to get back to me and the help they did give was kind of hit or miss.
Trial version of a grammar checker
I recently tried using a trial version of a grammar checker and found it a little difficult to navigate compared to other tools. But after sticking with it for a while, I got the hang of how it works and now I use it along with my other grammar tools. There's also a free version, but it limits how many words you can check at once. So for longer texts, you'd have to break them up and check them in chunks.
Two-year subscription
After hearing about this editing tool from a bunch of writers, I thought I'd give it a shot and bought a two-year subscription. But man, I've been so let down by how slow and frustrating it is to use! Both the online and desktop versions are just not cutting it for me. It's clunky and such a pain, especially when I try to use it with Scrivener. Even though I've heard good things from other people, I'm having a hard time understanding some of the suggestions it gives me. It's got me wondering if I'm just not getting it.
Helpful Writing Tool
I love using this tool to check my writing and make it sound better. It really helps me catch my mistakes and gives me ideas on how to improve things. I rely on it a ton when writing essays for school.
Content writing tool for website
Using ProWritingAid has made a huge difference for me. I was struggling with writing content for my website, but this tool gave me the help I was looking for. The suggestions for rephrasing, grammar checks, and style tips have really helped me enhance my writing. Plus, the newsletter and blog posts for users provide awesome tips and advice on writing. I haven't run into any problems with ProWritingAid, and it's been a big help in creating quality content that I'm happy with. I definitely plan to keep using my premium account.
Invasive writing assistant
The writing assistant is really annoying and gets in the way, making your writing harder instead of easier with its annoying prompts. It's a pain to try to get rid of it because it turns on every time you start up your computer and won't let you uninstall it. The people who made this thing should focus on letting users customize it and respecting our freedom to choose.
Grammar checking app
This app is seriously terrible, like don't even bother spending your money on it. I was hoping it would be useful for my school essays but it actually made things worse. It suggested the weirdest things, like wanting to change "inflation" to "initiation." Like, seriously, what is that? And it couldn't even understand the word "Macroeconomics." It's like it's not even from this world. I wish I could show you all the ridiculous mistakes it made, but TrustPilot doesn't allow me to post pictures. Ugh, just avoid this app, alright?
Fantasy story writing
I joined ProWritingAid to help me with my fantasy stories, but I was kind of bummed when it started flagging certain words for inclusive language problems. I'm not looking for a tool to tell me what's culturally insensitive—I just want to focus on improving my grammar and writing skills.
Writing software
This writing software has been a game changer for me. Being dyslexic, writing used to be a real struggle and would leave me feeling frustrated and dumb. But this software has really helped me conquer my fear of writing and has ignited a true love for storytelling in me. I'm actually on my fifth book now, something I never thought possible before using this software. It's saved me a bunch of money on editing and has given me the courage to share my work with others. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to be a writer, especially if you're dealing with similar issues.
Annoying pop-up
Ugh, this place has this annoying pop-up that keeps bothering me until I sign up or close it with task manager. I mean, who does that? So not cool, man. I was just trying to browse around, not get hit with all this irritating stuff.
Premium package purchase
I bought the premium package for $110.00 not too long ago, but I've been pretty disappointed with the customer service and refund process. I've tried reaching out to them through email a few times, but they haven't been very responsive or helpful. I even requested a refund, but they said I missed the deadline for their refund policy.
Long-term user of the writing aid tool
I've been using this writing aid tool for a while now and I've seen how much it's gotten better. Yeah, I know some people didn't like it before, but I gotta say, this new AI tool is amazing. It's totally changed the game for me. It helps me catch and fix mistakes in my writing super easily.
Long-term user's disappointment
I've been using this writing tool for years, and honestly, it's been a letdown. It does catch some mistakes, but the bad definitely outweighs the good. It's slow, awkward to use, and really just annoying at times. Plus, it sometimes gives wrong information, which is not okay for a grammar tool. And the fact that there aren't many ways to personalize it is a big problem too. Overall, I wouldn't suggest it to anyone who needs a dependable writing helper.
Self-publishing author editing software
After stumbling upon this editing software, I gotta say, it's been a real game-changer for me as an indie author. The tutorials were super helpful and I found them really easy to understand. I have a feeling my book is gonna see a big improvement thanks to the tools on this platform. I'd definitely suggest giving it a try if you're trying to up your writing game.
Productivity tool
This tool has been amazing for my writing. The features and reports it offers have really helped me make my work better. The premium price is totally worth it because of all the value it gives.
Yearly subscription plan
I just bought a yearly subscription at one price, then got hit with a double charge when it renewed without any heads up. That's not cool. When I first signed up, there was no mention of the price going up. I never got any notice about the change before they charged me. I contacted customer service about it, so depending on how they handle it, I might change my review.
