companies that ask for your birthdate like they're collecting birthday cards, and then suddenly your info is everywhere. So yes, I used a throwaway email at first, like a reflex. But here's the thing — after doing the grind of long, boring surveys and finally hitting the payout threshold, I hit a snag: they wanted verification. I almost closed the tab. I really did. Then the moment I knew I was actually okay came. Their verification process, surprisingly, was clear and not the usual vague mess.
