The part that slowed everything down was not the install, oddly enough, but the remote. I ordered three oversized motorized bamboo shades for our main living area. The ordering pages gave enough detail to measure and choose without guessing. They showed up well protected and nothing was damaged, which was a relief after coming from overseas. Delivery did miss the original estimate by about two weeks. The shades themselves look solid and work smoothly once set up. Mounting them took patience and a little hands-on experience; I would not call it a quick beginner job. Support replied fast every time, and that mattered. Still, they mostly had to relay questions to the manufacturer. The instructions for pairing and daily use were thin and sometimes contradicted themselves. After several emails, I got them connected, but the remote is still less obvious than it should be. I’m satisfied overall. Better documentation would fix most of my complaints.
Nice curtains, but the policies are rough
color apparently doesn’t qualify for a return. They offered an exchange, then explained it would be a $400 fee plus shipping. That just felt hard to swallow. For premium-priced curtains made in China, I expected more flexibility and better quality checks. Read the return policy before ordering, seriously.
The refund changed the outcome
I bought a custom blackout curtain because I work early shifts and the morning light in my bedroom was wrecking my sleep. The point where I finally felt okay about the purchase was seeing the refund come through, not installing the curtain. Before that, it had been a pretty drawn-out hassle. For the price, the fabric felt much thinner than I expected, and light still showed through it. It also didn’t resemble the heavier blackout material shown online, at least not to me. I sent photos more than once, then got asked for additional photos instead of a clear answer. That part was tiring and made it seem like the process mattered more than the actual problem. Custom items apparently have limited return options, which I understand in theory, but the product still didn’t meet what I thought was being advertised. Eventually, after I posted my initial feedback, they refunded me. So it wasn’t a great experience, and I wouldn’t order this specific curtain again, but they did resolve it in the end.
