    Started great, then weirdly changed

less hair in the sink, felt calmer about it. That moment made me tell a couple people. But lately, the newest three-month pack did nothing, literally. Looked at the label by chance and the formula was different. Also, the shampoo's been out forever — I preordered and might ask for a refund. Packaging was actually nicer before, strange. Kinda disappointed, honest.

    Good shampoo, poor follow-up

Overall it's fine but the customer service kills it. The shampoo itself works in my morning routine — lathers well, smells okay, keeps my hair manageable — so I still use it. But when a bottle arrived leaking in a paper bag I sent photos and got silence. I asked about the 'free hairbrush' terms twice, then once more, and still nothing. They take payments and push products, but support is basically absent. Useful product, unreliable company — sadly I probably won't order again anytime soon.

    New mane, cautious but happy

it's a bit pricey and I watch the bottle so I don't use too much, the pump could be easier, and the scent is subtle (I liked that). Shipping and customer service were straightforward, no issues. My daughter tried it when she had stress shedding and she noticed a change too, so that's reassuring. I was doubtful before buying; the product won me over, but price might keep me thinking before every reorder.

    Different bottle, different results

it lathers well and smells okay, but my hair felt stripped as soon as I rinsed. It dried out faster and tangles were worse. I called support and they told me they replaced the product line—no heads-up, no email, nothing on the site. That annoyed me. I kept trying to make it work. After a few washes I noticed one small surprise: the cap is sturdier and the bottle squeezes easier, which is oddly convenient. Still, that doesn't make up for losing the moisturizing, volumizing effect I relied on. I'm stuck with three bottles I didn't expect. They didn't offer a refund or swap, just a shrug over chat. So, do I recommend this? Not really, unless you're curious to try the new formula and don't mind possibly having drier hair. I might give them another chance someday if they explain things or offer a trade.

Not the Thick Tails I knew

this isn’t the product that saved my hair. I used the shampoo and conditioner for over two years and it actually stopped my menopause-related shedding. I did my homework before buying — wanted a DHT blocker with saw palmetto — and the old formula delivered. It went out of stock late 2024 and only came back around May 2025, so I grabbed two bottles as soon as I could. Then I opened them and noticed the formula had changed. The conditioner now lists salicylic acid, which I’m allergic to, so that was an automatic dealbreaker. The shampoo I could tolerate but it’s disappointing: it foams like crazy, even with a tiny squeeze, and the scent leans musty — think wet dog rather than fresh. Worst part, the shedding returned. My shower drain is proof. I’ve tried other brands before; some helped a little, some did nothing. Thick Tails used to be the one that actually worked for me, so this redesign feels like a real bait-and-switch. What annoys me most is the messaging — same expensive range, emails to former customers saying it’s “improved” when it’s basically different. On the plus side, customer service was polite when I reached out, and I appreciated that small courtesy. Maybe they’ll fix it someday; maybe not. Until then I’ll be looking for alternatives and keeping an old bottle like a tiny, weird trophy.

Not what I expected, but in a good way — mostly

less hair clogging the brush, way fewer knots, and brushing that used to take forever now takes minutes. It’s early, I know — early days — but when I massage the serum in I can actually feel tiny new hairs, like baby fuzz, which surprised me more than I expected. That gave me hope, real hope, and that’s been the biggest positive. The products themselves seem to work for me; the thickening spray and serum stand out. Downsides: customer service has gone downhill — I’ve emailed a few times with questions and got silence, and that’s frustrating especially if you’re coming back after spending good money. Also, I’d buy a vegetarian collagen option in a heartbeat — please make one — so, a wish there. Price feels fair compared to treatments I tried before, but loyalty should count; treating long-term customers like they don’t matter leaves a sour taste. So, recommendation in a split way: the products are worth trying if you’re in a similar situation, but be warned — if you need quick, helpful customer support, you might be disappointed. I’ll keep using what works for my hair, but I’ll also look around for better service elsewhere.
