Trustworthy

My partner and I just got back from a fantastic two-week trip to Turkey that we booked through a travel agency. We really wanted a vacation that fit our interests and schedule, so we decided to customize our own tour with the help of a guy named Gavin from the agency. He was super helpful and always got back to us quickly with all the info we needed.
The agency, Encounters Travel, took care of all the logistics and made sure everything ran smoothly by working with local agents. We saw some amazing stuff on our trip that we wouldn't have been able to see on our own. I would caution against booking the Jordan Explorer package with this travel company. We were told we'd stay in certain hotels, but last minute they switched us to much worse ones. The transportation was uncomfortable and there were more people in the group than they said there would be. The tour guide didn't help us at all with the problems we faced.
Egypt, Alexandria tour
Our trip to Alexandria, Egypt was a letdown because the plans kept changing suddenly without us knowing. We got there and found out things had been switched around without us being told beforehand, so we had no idea where we were supposed to stay. It was really confusing and made us feel lost and unsure of what to expect. On top of that, the hotel we thought we were staying at in downtown Alexandria got changed to a spot outside of town, which made everything more inconvenient and didn't help our trip go smoothly. It was frustrating not having a new plan laid out for us, so we ended up feeling unprepared and not sure about what was happening next. All in all, the trip didn't live up to what we hoped for because of all the unexpected changes and lack of communication.
Trip to Jordan
I booked a trip to Jordan with this company and I have to say, I was pretty let down by their lack of communication and customer service. The ongoing conflict in the region made me nervous, so I reached out multiple times to talk about my options and worries, but I never got a response. Finally, when I did hear from them, it was just to confirm that they canceled my trip and to tell me I'd only get a small refund because of the timing. I tried to get in touch with them way before the 20-day cancellation policy, but they seemed to be dodging me on purpose. It's frustrating to only get back a portion of what I paid for the trip. I feel like they tricked me and ripped me off. I won't be using their services again and I'd tell others to be careful with them too.
Nubian Adventure Tour
I was so frustrated when I found out that I had to pay twice for the Nubian Adventure Tour because the company's partner disappeared with the money. I paid in full and then got hit with this news a month before the trip. Definitely lost my trust in them. If you booked a tour with this company, I suggest reaching out to your credit card company.
