Took me a while to trust them

at first I heard basically nothing — radio silence, which made me think they’d just taken the money and moved on. That’s what made me mistrust the whole setup. I kept pressing them, sent screenshots, the works. Turns out the delivery of payouts can be flaky and their support was slow to respond, but after a few tense days someone actually replied, walked me through the hold, and gave a reasonable explanation — not a perfect one, but enough that I felt heard. So my impression shifted: still annoyed at the shock of the suspension, but relieved that customer service eventually engaged and the payout was handled (not instant, but it landed). If you’re considering them, document everything and expect to follow up persistently. Delivery of funds and the support response time can be hit-or-miss, but with some patience and persistence you can get answers. I ended skeptical and frustrated, and then somewhat satisfied with the outcome.

    Morning jolt, eventual relief

same vague “security reasons” line, copied and pasted, no real explanation. That made me suspect an automated filter, or someone not looking properly. I wasn’t happy, I’ll say that. But instead of giving up I dug in: improved structure again, ran Semrush and Ahrefs reports to show traffic, tweaked UX, polished things—yes, again. I kept following up with support, and sure, some replies were curt and felt templated. Frustrating. Then, after another submission and one decent human reply that actually pointed me to a missing detail, things shifted. The application cleared. So my original doubts didn’t vanish overnight, but they slowly did once I pushed changes and stayed persistent. I’m relieved and honestly a bit thankful — it’s nice to have the option to monetize properly and not waste the daily work we put into the site. Would I warn others? Yep: expect friction, document everything, and don’t assume support will hand-hold. But if you’re persistent and can show real traffic and polish, it can work out. Overall mixed feelings, but glad it ended up usable for our everyday monetization.

Half green flag, then slammed door — confusing process

engineers spent real time wiring up a manual, product-level integration for our advertiser. We’re not a coupon blog or a cashback site — we run a tools-focused platform for precious metals investors with big traffic, so this was a proper, deliberate effort. Then, after the integration was done, Awin did a manual compliance check and closed our account. No reason given. Nothing. That part — the sudden closure without explanation — is what sticks with me. It’s not just annoying, it actually costs real time and can break business relationships (we had an advertiser lined up exclusively through their network). I tried the polite, private route first: contacted Partner Compliance, asked for a basic explanation, offered extra details about how our integration works. Their initial replies were minimal and then final: rejected, quality requirements not met, end of story. No specifics. No “here’s what to fix.” It felt like being told off without being shown the rules. Later, after more back-and-forth and a public response from Awin, they explained there’d been a miscommunication and reapproved our account. Fine, I’m relieved it ended that way — and I appreciate the account being reactivated — but the whole episode shows how shaky the process can be. One thing to call out: the manual compliance step needs to be clearer and faster. Either don’t give a green light before a review, or if you do, be ready to explain the reversal. Publishers need usable feedback so they can actually improve. So yeah, mild praise for the network’s reach and potential, and gratitude for the eventual fix, but a fair warning to peers: approval might not mean approval, and you should budget time and patience for possible opaque reversals. I’d use Awin again, but I’d go in with eyes open and keep advertisers informed — and maybe don’t start a big integration until you’ve got a clear, written confirmation.

That paper check sat like a museum relic

wait until end of year, wait another week, oh it’s coming soon. That “coming soon” line became a refrain. I kept thinking maybe this is a temporary mess, maybe systems, year-end, holidays, whatever. I wanted to believe it. I really did.
I gave them everything they asked for promptly. Correct account details, proof, the whole nine yards. Still, the answers shifted like sand: “wait until year-end,” then “another week,” then “we sent it,” then “it bounced because of an old account.” WISE doesn’t keep incoming info valid forever — I said that to them. Felt like talking to a looped voicemail. Each reply sounded polished and corporate but didn’t actually move money. That’s what annoyed me most: basically professional-sounding excuses with zero action.
There were small flashes of optimism — a message that looked promising, a “we’re on it” — and then silence or a new delay. So my doubts? They didn’t vanish. They deepened. I went from mild skepticism to full distrust. It’s not just about the check; it’s about the time spent chasing replies and the feeling of being fobbed off after doing the work. If you’re considering AWIN (or ShareASale — they blur together at this point) and you care about actually getting paid without a months-long chase, keep that in mind. I wanted to tell a different story, one where a paper check solved everything. Instead I ended up with a paper anchor.

    Stuck trying to quit

I tried to quit after Awin bought ShareASale — sent multiple emails, was ignored. Then they billed me $490 to leave. I use this for everyday affiliate payouts; oddly the dashboard's clear, but the fee ruined it.

    Finally closed it, phew

Finally closed my account — surprisingly painless in the end. I’m saying that up front. I first saw the close option in the mobile app and kept hitting errors on the site, and email bounced. I told a buddy who works in support and he nudged the right team; next day it was done, relieved.

    Locked out mid-order

Halfway through ordering dinner my account was suddenly shut, balance gone. Customer service wouldn't explain, which sucked — I use it every day for groceries and bills, and weirdly delivery still arrived early.

    That moment it clicked

Weird start — my affiliate manager actually put me onto this platform after a call, I tried to set up and got lost, support cut the chat because I was following their steps, ugh. Anyway, after poking around and a coworker showing a hidden menu, I finally saw my first campaign live and I knew it worked. Not flawless, but solid enough to keep using.

    Migrated unwillingly, mixed feelings

cluttered, things hidden, report labels unclear. After poking around a few days some things worked as expected — payouts visible, basic tracking ok — so my panic eased, but I still miss features and it's clunky.

    UI snags and account limbo

Started fine but the interface is clunky and I kept hitting odd screens. Tried to close my account, asked support — they kept emailing but not processing it, kept asking same things. After weeks they said I can only close in over a year, which is ridiculous. Feels like an affiliate platform that drags you along. Wish they'd fix closure flow.

    Finally worked, but took forever

signup invite link failed, landing page showed nothing and there was zero explanation, errors with buttons, and support only by email. I waited over a week for a reply, which is ridiculous, and I kept poking, trying different browsers, etc. Then someone replied with steps and a fix; when the test account finally appeared and clicks showed up in the dashboard, I felt relieved — that was the moment I knew it would work. So yeah, customer support needs to be faster and clearer, but once they fixed it the platform behaved and we got the job done.

    Finally it clicked

I saw Awin in a marketer Slack channel and my colleague pushed me to try it. First week was a mess — links broke, support silent, I was ready to bail. Then one evening a real person replied, walked me through fixes, and suddenly everything worked. That was the moment I felt relieved and grateful; not perfect, but better than I feared.

    The check that almost didn't

I remember opening the accounting letter and feeling a spike of stress — we needed that $1,650 to finish our month-end for the shop. I mailed back the paperwork right away and then... radio silence for weeks. Kept calling and emailing, no reply. Then, finally, a check arrived and a short email explaining the delay. Not ideal — the lack of communication made things messy — but in that moment I was relieved. It works for my daily cash flow now, though I want clearer follow-up next time.

    Account frozen, funds withheld

I can't recommend Awin. After months of running campaigns and sinking real ad budget into this, our account was suddenly frozen and tens of thousands in payouts were withheld. I use Awin day-to-day to pay contractors and cover ad spend, so this interrupted payroll and the workflow immediately. There was no clear reason, no meaningful explanation and no way to appeal — I mean, literally nothing from support. Other companies have told me the same story, so it doesn't look like an isolated glitch. I'm helping organize a class action; if this sounds familiar, reach out so we can coordinate.

The little relief after a mess

keep meticulous records, take screenshots, and don’t rely on just one contact channel. I’m still annoyed, don’t get me wrong, but that small moment of seeing our clients stick with us — that’s when I knew we’d be okay.

    Regret after the free trial

canceling felt like pulling teeth. Emails took a day or more to get any kind of reply, and every response seemed to add another step instead of resolving it. They only accept direct debit, which surprised me, and automatic payouts? Not really — I got stuck in a back-and-forth over commissions. I can’t say it was a complete disaster, I did find a couple links that worked, but overall it didn’t solve my problem and cost more hassle than I expected. Kind of disappointing and tiring.
