I didn’t expect drama from a compliance vendor, I just wanted the boring stuff done right. We started with this company in 2019 and it was smooth sailing — they handled our start-up filings and I was actually relieved. Fast forward to 2022, we moved more solicitation and state registrations over to them after they acquired a smaller shop we’d worked with. At first the transition was messy, messy — multiple account reps changed (I lost count, like five times), there were missed emails, and for a while we even got a notice that our org had been dissolved. Not great.
Not worth the headache, but not a total disaster
I canceled my signup — mostly because of the surprise billing and the snail-mail-level response times, not because the forms didn't work. I signed up to get my Pennsylvania LLC stuff handled since this was new territory for me and I wanted someone to make sure it was done right (I’ve messed up filings before, so I was trying to avoid that). The initial part was oddly smooth — the site walked me through some questions and auto-populated the state annual report stuff in like five minutes, which was a relief, honestly. Then another team popped up asking me to finish additional paperwork (I couldn’t tell at first if it was for the registered agent portion or the state filing) and one of the forms needed notarization. That little thing added a couple days while I tracked down a notary and uploaded the scanned doc. After that they sent an invoice for what they called a “filing fee” for PA. That threw me — Pennsylvania doesn’t have a filing fee for that report, and everything they asked for I’d already given to the state through their portal. So I felt like I’d done all the work but was suddenly being asked to pay extra on top of the $199 annual charge I’d already paid. I reached out right away asking for a refund and was told there’s a strict three-day cancellation window. Which would have been fine, except their response times were slow — it ended up taking about four weeks to get some answers because they barely pick up calls and voicemail replies are delayed. How was I supposed to cancel within three days when nobody answers? In the end I turned off future services. To be fair, the automated parts did save time and once things were uploaded they processed the filings. So it’s not a total scam — the product works to an extent — but the fee transparency and customer support need work. If you’re comfortable chasing them and possibly paying surprise fees, fine. I won’t be sticking around after my current registered-agent term expires; I’ll move to someone local (or my accountant) who I can actually reach.
Didn't expect much
Started skeptical — after being burned before, their CSM actually replied fast and made compliance painless, small miracle.
Longtime but wary
Was hesitant at first — worried about turnaround and cost, but Francisco sorted things; still price felt high.
Didn't expect that
I was halfway through a late night panic, annoyed at other vendors' silence, when I realized I hadn't worried about compliance all week. Labyrinth answered fast, kept things simple — and yeah, I'm relieved.
Friendly, on-point help
Tried them last quarter for some filings, and right away I liked how Gabrielle answered fast — like actually answered my questions and followed up. She kept things moving and on schedule, so I felt pretty relieved and impressed.
Took a minute to trust them
I hesitated at first — we’d had messy service before, so I almost didn’t sign on. After a few months working with her my doubts faded. First impression was quiet competence; she fixed issues, sometimes slow to reply, but overall I’m glad.
Night-shift lifesaver
47 and fixed a 50-state filing glitch — right then I finally relaxed. We've had other vendors who dragged their feet, so this felt like a breath of fresh air. Not flawless (paperwork hiccup once), but quick, professional, and helpful.
Finally someone reliable
LaToya nailed it — I'm actually relieved. I was nervous after the takeover and we'd bounced through reps, but since May 29 she's been super responsive and knows her stuff. I use this for daily compliance for my small biz and she makes it easier, honestly.
Found-her-on-LinkedIn
I first spotted Laura on a LinkedIn post and told my coworker to check her out; I did — she's been a lifesaver with our state filings. Delivery of paperwork was faster than expected, customer service called back, and she even fixed a glitch before I noticed.
Unexpected relief for admin
I was hesitant at first — so many state rules and I wasn't sure anyone would handle it. After a few calls they walked me through filings and picked up slack we couldn't handle on weekdays. Not perfect, couple small delays, but they made daily nonprofit admin much easier so we can focus on mission work.
Expo find
I first heard about them from a coworker and bumped into their booth at a nonprofit expo. Our rep Marissa is solid, helpful, quick to respond. Mailings usually arrive on time, though one batch was delayed. Not perfect, but they get the job done.
Found them at a meetup
I first stumbled on Harbor Compliance at a small nonprofit meetup and, to be honest, I was skeptical — seemed like another vendor. Now I use them for filings and registrations all the time. My rep Mike answers fast, it actually feels simple, kinda comforting. I already told a board member, they should use it too.
Blind-date with paperwork
I was nervous picking a registered agent — felt like choosing a blind date. I've had a messy run with another service that ghosted paperwork, so I was wary. Harbor eased that fast. People actually answered and knew their stuff. Slow start to trust, but it melted away. Friendly, quick, and not overpriced. Felt really silly for worrying, honestly.
Morning portal routine
I mostly use the portal during my morning checks at the office, and it's clunky. A single person — Kelly — used to handle our account and she was solid, very responsive, which I appreciated. Now she's moved on and you can tell. The portal rarely shows attachments like permits or status updates, so I end up emailing or calling. Responses can be slow, especially when something's urgent or past due. It's usable for routine stuff, but it could save me a lot of time if they fixed the basics.
Gabrielle made the difference
it's been a win since Gabrielle stepped in. I started using Labyrinth a few months ago and at first there was no Customer Success Manager, which made things awkward and slow. I asked for a different rep and they moved me to Gabrielle. She's reliable, answers questions clearly, and actually follows up when she needs to check. A good CSM changed the whole feel. I'm relieved and honestly pretty grateful — hope she stays. Small touch, big impact so far.
Harbor took the load off
Harbor let us stop guessing about licensing and move forward with less stress. We started using it when I inherited years of messy, half-done compliance records and jumped in last spring. First impression was that the dashboard is straightforward and the support team actually followed through — not just scripts. It helped untangle construction licensing headaches and gave me a real sense of control. Worth trying if you wear multiple hats.
Smooth rescue by Gabrielle
Gabrielle made this way easier than I expected. I first noticed her in the support chat after a coworker nudged me to reach out, and I'm honestly glad I did. She replies fast, explains things in plain words (no jargon), and has a real, patient vibe — which helped because the portal layout had me reloading pages and muttering to myself more than once. Other agents are okay too, sometimes there's a little wait, but overall I'm happy it worked out and relieved.
That moment I relaxed
don't skip the hand-holding, ask questions.
Saved our deadline
I almost ignored the ad, but a coworker nudged me to try Harbor Compliance for our charity filings. First time I saw them was on LinkedIn, and then Amen became our go-to. Customer service is what stands out, quick replies, patient explanations and actual follow-through. Delivery of documents was timely, usually ahead of deadline, though once a form needed a tweak and it took a day extra. Not perfect, but they fixed it fast. Overall very happy. I've told a few nonprofits to call them, and I'll keep recommending.
About Harbor Compliance
In every country, there's always one thing the citizens would be deprived of until they have a license, and without it, citizens might be punished if caught doing any of those things without an approved license. This is usually a rule made by the government of a country, and there are many activities the government of a country or any other business policy can prohibit us from doing if we don't have the appropriate permissions to do it. The acquisition of a license is sometimes cumbersome, and people might find it difficult and tiring to go through the stress of processing one. With this kind of situation, all we have to do is reach out to companies like Harbour Compliance that claims to deal with the simplification of the acquisition of a license. We suggest you read honest customer reviews of Harbor Compliance here before visiting their website.
