First saw it at a buddy’s place. Feels solid, good grip, light enough for daily use. I tried to file a warranty claim six times — app, email, web form. No answer. Customer service is just nonexistent.
Nice find, just watch returns
their return rules are annoying. I first saw them on Instagram and told a buddy. Product arrived fine, I like it, but returns after seven days cost shipping plus a 30% restock fee.
Instant daylight, hands-off
Right when I bent over engine and the bay lit up, I knew this thing works — bright. I was wary of the heat at first, yes it's hot, but it did the job for evening repairs.
Outlet find, solid support
I first saw this security light on a display at an outlet store and bought it because it looked like a decent deal. It didn't connect to my Wi-Fi though, which was a hassle, but the outlet team were helpful and put me in touch with Rick at Lutec. He stayed patient on the phone, walked me through the setup and got it working. Delivery to the store was fast, I recommended it to a neighbor, and I felt genuinely relieved when it was sorted.
Almost gave up, then it finally worked
I bought this solar post light after we moved and I needed a no-fuss porch light — my knee’s bad so I wanted something that would just turn on at dusk without me fumbling. At first it was fine, then after a few months the thing would only stay lit for two hours. Annoying. I emailed the seller in December and they said they'd ship a replacement battery. Weeks went by, then a tracking number showed up that didn’t add up (wrong state, weird dates). I chased them a couple times and they promised again. It felt like talking to a wall, honestly. Then, out of the blue, a second battery arrived and I was cautiously hopeful. That first night it actually stayed on for the whole night — dusk to dawn like advertised — and I felt relieved, really. So yeah, service was sloppy and it took forever, but the product does work once you get the right battery. I’m glad it ended up okay, even if the run-around was frustrating. Would I buy again? Maybe, but only if I knew the seller had better follow-through.
Outdoor lights for older property
This outdoor light fixture we picked for our 1940s house seemed like a great choice, but boy, installing it was a real nightmare. The back box design didn't really take into account our uneven walls, so the front face wouldn't fit right. Trying to squeeze those small nuts into such a tight spot was basically impossible, so getting it installed ended up being super frustrating and took forever. It felt like what should have been an easy job turned into a huge headache. But once we finally got it up, the lights looked awesome and felt really solid, which was a relief. It's just a bummer that putting it together was such a pain.
Cool outdoor lights
I received these really cool outdoor lights as a gift and they looked amazing at first. But, after only a year and a half, they started to rust and the paint began to peel off. Not cool at all!

About Lutec
In 2010, Lutec was established and the company was into the provision of architectural lights while still studying solar energy. However, the company’s operation can be traced back to more than a decade before this time when the company was still an aluminum die-cast factory. It was during this time that it started making bulkhead lights and classical garden lanterns. The quality of the lights being produced was confirmed to meet international standards and in 1996, the company started the export of their products.
In 2001, the company opened a factory in China where new gardens and professional lights were produced. These lights were shipped internationally as DIY and ODM based on demand. In 2009, the company came up intending to provide lights for the ODM market and also launch a brand. This was what led to the birth of Lutec in 2010.
After 2010, Lutec opened a second light-producing factory and states that it is dedicated to making further developments to their lights.

Warranty Policy of Lutec
Lutec claims that its products are of top quality produced to meet international safety standards, hence, the company offers a 2-year warranty for products that deals have to do with solar energy, 5 years for other products, and 15 years anti-corrosion guarantee for outdoor luminaires that are galvanized or made of resin.
If there is any need to return a product, Lutec will confirm if you have used the product in the right way, if it has not been tampered with by a third party, alongside other company policies. If you are allowed to return the product, the company will provide you with a full refund or a replacement of the returned product with a new model.
