not worth the stress — product arrived damaged and customer service made the return harder than it needed to be, though I’m glad it got sorted. I saw the model on the retailer's site after a coworker suggested it; bought a new Technivorm. Box came with a broken plastic piece; one component was dusty — made me wonder if it was refurbished. I called, they said they'd follow up and didn’t. After asking for a return label I shipped it back, chased twice more and finally received a refund. Won’t reorder from them.
Morning win — surprisingly happy
Half-asleep on a rough morning I plugged in this refurbished Jura and that first sip was the exact moment I knew it was worth it. My old machine died right when my back pain was acting up (bending over to mess with it was the worst), so I needed something reliable and easy — and quiet. Ordering felt simple enough, delivery arrived sooner than I expected, and there was even a little filter tucked in the box (nice surprise). It’s not flawless — I had a tiny setup question — but customer support answered me promptly and didn’t make it weird. The espresso is consistent, the milk froth is creamy, and honestly, I smile seeing it in the kitchen each morning. Would buy again, no regrets.
Good coffee, sour aftertaste
Halfway through my first cup I found myself thinking about the whole purchase drama. I actually needed a new brewer because my old one died the week before—mornings were chaos—so I hesitated when I saw the price and the site's "lowest price guaranteed" claim. I emailed them a few times and got no response, so I called. The rep basically said they wouldn't honor it and my only choice was to return it for a refund minus shipping. That would have cost me about twenty-eight bucks, so I kept the machine. It makes solid coffee and I still use it daily, no real complaints on the brew. But every pour is a little reminder of the runaround. Not awful, but not exactly trustworthy either.
Felt like someone else's return
it smelled like someone's coffee and had actual grounds clinging to the foam. The outer box still had a return label, and the product itself was scuffed and a bit dented, like it had been shoved back in without care. It powered on, but the buttons felt sticky and there was grit in the seams. I tried their phone — weird hours, answers that swing from helpful to annoyed — and emailed, only to be told they couldn't find my order. I only used it for a couple minutes to test, then stopped. I got a refund, which is fine, but the hands-on feeling of "used" without cleaning left a bad taste.
Great machine, terrible phone etiquette
Phone still warm in my hand, mid-morning rush and I’m trying to figure out if I should buy a Jura S8 — I already have one at home that saves my mornings and tames the chaos with two kids and a sleepless partner. So I call to price-match, explain the exact model and color, and before I can finish my sentence the rep keeps cutting me off. Not a little interruption — full-on snark and then a click. I hung up feeling more annoyed than caffeinated. The machine itself is lovely and does exactly what I want, so this isn’t about the coffee — it’s about people. If you care about polite service when you’re spending real money, this felt unprofessional and childish. I’ll use the S8 every day, but I’ll shop elsewhere next time.
Stayed for the service
I first saw one of these Juras at a neighbor's house, and I've been hooked since — bought my first super-automatic about ten years ago. When it finally died I called James to upgrade; I paid for one-day shipping because I wanted coffee back fast. The first replacement arrived but wouldn't boot. I called, James immediately shipped a second unit—no fuss, paid the expedited shipping himself. That one failed too, for a different reason. We talked, and James sent a third machine, again without nagging for returns or receipts. This third unit actually worked like it should, and a few days later James rang to check how it was going and to thank me for working through the hiccups. That phone call—where he sounded genuinely appreciative—was the moment I knew I was a customer for life. I tipped a coworker who'd been sniffing around espresso machines; he asked and I told him straight.
Smooth delivery, decent follow-up
I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered a refurbished espresso machine. The checkout went through and I got a receipt by email. That message had no tracking link though. I called customer service after a couple days. A real person picked up right away. They apologized and gave me the tracking number on the spot. Delivery showed up exactly when they said it would. The machine looks and works like new. It came with a filter and some cleaning tablets, which was a nice small bonus. Only downside was no paper manual, so I had to look one up. I've had sellers ignore calls before, so this prompt response felt notable. Customer rep was efficient and calm, which made the call quick — worthwhile. I printed the manual online; took a minute.
Almost gave up, then things finally got fixed
50 PM I finally got a note: it’s stuck with the manufacturer, “you’ll get it tomorrow.” That annoyed me — huge inconvenience. I asked for a refund of the overnight fee since I didn’t get the overnight service I paid for. At first their reply was basically “you can cancel,” which is not helpful. But then, after another short back-and-forth, they actually refunded the shipping charge and sent a real tracking link that showed it was moving. That’s the moment I felt satisfied — when they owned the mistake and did something about it. Not perfect, communication was clumsy, and I was stressed, but the refund and the tracking made me breathe easier. Tip: be persistent and ask for proof of shipment and a refund if deadlines matter.
Espresso machine purchase
I got my order number but it never actually went through. It felt like a total scam. I was really looking forward to getting my hands on a new espresso machine, but ended up just feeling let down. The fact that there was no communication and things weren't clear is just not cool at all. I'll definitely be looking for somewhere else to do my shopping from now on.
Jura S8 purchase
My experience with this company was just awful. I called to ask about price matching and the customer service person was so rude. He kept interrupting me, making sarcastic comments, and then suddenly hung up. I couldn't believe how unprofessional and discourteous he was.
Espresso machine
I just wanted to share how much I love the espresso machine I bought from this place. It seriously makes the best coffee - so rich and smooth. And the staff there was amazing! They were so helpful and friendly, giving me all the details I needed to pick the perfect machine. Definitely recommend this place if you're in the market for top-notch coffee gear.
