Home appliance repair
I had a pretty bad experience with this company's service. Their technician ended up charging us twice, taking both a check and a credit card payment for the same thing. When I called customer service for help, I found out it was outsourced to a call center in India. The folks there couldn't really give me a straight answer or understand what I was asking. I couldn't get this problem fixed and it left me super frustrated and disappointed with their service overall.
Lawnmower purchase
I recently bought a lawnmower from this place, and man, it was a total disaster from start to finish. Ordering it was a nightmare, the website kept crashing when I tried to add it to my cart. And when I finally got my order through, the price was way higher than what other stores were charging. The service was just meh, the reps there were no help at all with my questions. And don't even get me started on the delivery - got delayed three times, and when the lawnmower finally showed up, it was wrecked. Awful experience, never gonna forget it.
Lawn mower maintenance
I just got my lawn mower fixed and man, what a pain it was! Every time I called, I was stuck on the line for over an hour. It felt like nobody knew how to use the computer system right, which just made things more annoying. I gotta say, it was the worst time ever and I won't be going back to them for sure.
Defective small corner cabinet assembly
I bought this little corner cabinet that you're supposed to put together yourself, and man, it was a mess from start to finish. The bolts didn't match up, the wood was all busted, and honestly, the whole thing was just super low quality. I waited forever for it to show up, and when I tried to send it back, it was a total nightmare. The customer service reps seemed like robots, just going in circles and not actually fixing anything. They told me to use some special site for returns, with no way to talk to a real person. Now I'm just sitting here waiting for an email back, but based on how things have gone so far, I'm pretty sure they're gonna ignore me. I really wish I never bought this thing.
Kenmore Elite refrigerator and protection plan in 2018
I bought a fridge and a protection plan from the store back in 2018. It's been a real headache though. The icemaker has crapped out on me twice, costing me a bunch of money in spoiled food. And now, the whole dang thing isn't even cooling anymore, so there goes even more food. It's such a hassle - I wait forever for a technician who never even comes, parts get delivered but they're not even the right ones, and then I find out the protection plan only covers a little bit of my food losses. This whole thing has been a huge letdown and I'm beyond frustrated.
Oven repair
I had a technician from the old company come out to fix my oven on January 5th, 2024, and it's been a disaster. Sears said they ordered 2 parts to fix it but only 1 showed up, and then I never heard from them again. I called multiple times but all they gave me were empty promises and fake updates. The old Sears used to be dependable, but this new version is just awful. Do yourself a favor and find a different contractor to avoid the headache.
Dryer repair
My experience with that company was just awful. I called them to fix my dryer, and the guy who came out seemed like he didn't really know what he was doing. On top of that, he was trying to get me to buy things I didn't need. And to make matters worse, just a few weeks later, my dryer broke again and they wanted to charge me another $99 just to check it out. I was so mad and felt totally ripped off. No way would I tell anyone to use Sears.
Appliance repair service
I used the appliance repair service at this place not too long ago, and I gotta say, I was really impressed. The technicians showed up right on time, fixed everything they said they would, and were super professional and polite the whole time. They not only fixed the problems I pointed out, but they also went the extra mile and took care of another issue without me even mentioning it. Their amazing service really makes them stand out from the competition.
European travel with Sears
My recent experience traveling to Europe with this one travel company was honestly not that great. Everything started off wrong with all the chaos at the airport in San Juan, PR, and then those uncomfortable seats on Air Europa (charter) with no chance of an upgrade just made it worse. By the time I got to Madrid for my connecting flight to Lisbon, Portugal, it felt like I had run a marathon just navigating through that airport. The optional tours they offered during the trip were confusing too, since they didn't really tell us how many people would be in each group. And let's not even get started on the hotels they put us up in - they were supposed to be 4-star places, but honestly I'd say they were more like 1/2-star quality.
Riding mower repair
Sears confirmed two repair appointments for my riding mower, and they never showed up or bothered to call and cancel. This is the third time they've flaked out on me, and their customer service is useless with their canned responses. Sears is a complete scam and rip-off!
Online purchase experience
I had a pretty frustrating experience with that company recently. I tried to buy something online and ran into all sorts of problems. The website was a pain to figure out, the chat option was a no-go, and for some reason, my order got canceled out of nowhere. It was super annoying dealing with all that lack of customer service and technical glitches.
Appliance repair assistance
I was pretty bummed when I got a call from a Sears technician saying they could help me with my busted appliance. Tape player/recorder belt replacement kit
So you know, I was all pumped because I ordered this tape player/recorder belt replacement kit for my old player that needed fixing. But let me tell you, it was a disaster. I paid, waited, and finally got a bag of rubber bands. I mean, really? Trying to return it was a nightmare. It took contacting them and waiting 21 days just to get a partial refund. What a mess! I'm never shopping there again. Sears, you're the worst!
Washing-drying machine ordered online
I bought a washer-dryer online and spent a bunch of money on it. Can you believe it still hasn't shown up at my door? I've been calling their customer service hotline but it's been no help at all. I'm a mom of three little ones and really need that machine, but Sears is really dropping the ball here. I wouldn't suggest buying anything from them.
Toolset purchase
I just bought a toolset online and got the wrong sockets in the set. Even though I double-checked the number of items when I got the package, I found out that there were extra sockets in some sizes and missing ones in others. This messed up the warranty and made it really frustrating to use the tools.
Cancelled order due to unavailability of part
I just had to cancel an order with Sears because they didn't have the part I needed. They said they issued a refund, but it was almost $20.00 less than what I paid originally. After calling Sears Parts Direct multiple times and getting super frustrated, they finally told me that the rest of the refund, which was the shipping charge, would be processed separately. Dealing with the automated system was a total nightmare, and talking to the reps was really tough because I had a hard time understanding them.
Sears master protection agreement
My experience with the Sears master protection agreement was so frustrating. My microwave oven had a problem back in November, and trying to get it fixed was a nightmare. They kept changing the service appointment, ordering the wrong parts, and in the end, they said they couldn't even get the right part. The replacement microwave they promised me was a whole headache to actually get to me and set up. It was a total waste of my time and money.

Sears is more like a common departmental store for me just the fact I buy things online. The deliver is good and on time, that's the best part.
I buy all kind of things from here, ranging from clothes to few cosmetic stuff. sometime houseware and more.
I have already shared my reviews initially on many places about them, when I earlier bought around a year ago. And still buying stuff from them for so long.
so basically it one of those online stores which I use so much like amazon, ebay or walmart, but kind of better in some cases.
