    My money disappeared mid-month

clean UI, messages flowed, buyers paid, I delivered, and then I clicked the withdraw button and felt... nothing. Not literally, but you know what I mean.
So here's how it went: my account got flagged and fully disabled in August with zero warning. Poof. No clear reason. Months later, in November, the account came back. Relief. I set up payouts — tried Payoneer first, that didn’t connect properly, so I added PayPal. Less than a day after adding PayPal, the "withdraw" option was gone. Disabled. No notice, just disabled. I reached out to support and got the classic "suspicious activity" line. Okay, fine, investigate. But then they told me the withdrawals would be permanently blocked. Permanently. For "suspicious activity." That felt... off. Like, how is that fair?
I started opening tickets — lots of them. More than 50, actually. Different agents, different answers. One said they'd fix it. Another said it was a policy thing. A supervisor told me flat out to forget the money. I kept asking two plain questions: who legally owns the funds if I can't withdraw them, and are buyers being refunded or is Fiverr keeping the money? No clear answers. They keep saying they "can't provide that information right now." That vague, bureaucratic dodge is maddening. It makes the platform feel less like a tool and more like a locked vault that someone else controls.
It’s not just abstract. I was sick during this period — needed money for medical care, really urgent. I told support that. You'd expect some human response, a little empathy. What I got felt robotic. Cold. Like they checked off a box that said "received complaint" and moved on. I could have arranged direct payment with a buyer off-platform but I didn’t. I stuck to the rules and expected the same in return.
I read the Terms of Service closely. The version active when this happened didn’t say they could seize funds forever — only temporarily suspend withdrawals in some cases. That mismatch between what's written and what's happening is what hurts. I did the work. The platform charged its fee, sure — fair — but why withhold the rest? The amount in question is $1,832, and the ticket ID is #13857879. That number has become this weird, heavy thing I check too often.
Using Fiverr used to feel straightforward. Now every click feels uncertain. The messages, the payout flow, the tiny status notifications — they went from helpful to opaque. I want my money and a straight answer. Not drama, not legalese, not "we're looking into it" forever. Just give me access to what I earned, or explain clearly where it went. Is that so much to ask?

    A messy ride I didn’t see coming

I signed up for Fiverr with low expectations — I was skeptical from day one about the fees, the competition, all that. I needed work because I had bills piling up and a rough patch with my back that kept me from regular gigs, so freelancing sounded like a way out. At first it actually felt promising. I got a few small jobs, people were polite, payments came through, and I thought, alright, maybe this will work. That eased my doubts a lot — I mean, I was still like, “Is this too good to be true?” but it wasn’t, at least not right away. Then August hit and everything went sideways. No warning, account flagged and disabled. My stomach flipped. For a week I convinced myself it was a mistake that would get cleared up. Months passed. Silence. I felt weirdly alone, like I was shouting in an empty room. When November finally brought the account back online I was relieved — genuine relief — and that tiny win made me trust it again. So I added payout methods, first Payoneer, then PayPal when the first option flopped. Within 24 hours of adding PayPal, my withdrawals were disabled. Cue the anxiety gut punch. I reached out to support and got the classic, fuzzy “suspicious activity” line. That could be fine if they were helpful, right? But no — it turned into over 50 tickets, circular replies, one agent saying it’ll be sorted, another saying forget it, a supervisor promising action, then silence. I kept asking two simple things: who gets my money if I can’t access it, and will the clients be refunded? Crickets. The real twist that nobody expected: one support rep actually showed a sliver of empathy when I mentioned being sick and needing money for medical care. That felt human, and for a second I thought, okay, there’s hope. But it was short-lived; the general tone reverted to robotic non-answers. I tried to be fair — I didn’t try to take buyers off-platform even though I could have; I followed rules. That’s part of why this stings so much. The terms they cited? I read them. The version active then allows temporary holds, not permanent seizure, so their explanation didn’t line up with the wording. Maybe I’m missing legal nuance, maybe not. Either way, it hasn’t been resolved. My baffled, tired feeling mixes with anger and a strange sort of disbelief that a platform can behave like this. So did my initial doubts vanish? Partly. The early success made me trust the place, even briefly. But in the end the trust got crushed, and I’m left juggling unanswered questions, medical bills, and a platform that won’t clearly say where the money went. Oh, and the absurd part — it’s just $1832 in question, not some massive corporate vault. It feels petty and huge at the same time. If anything surprised me, it was how small acts of human kindness (a single empathetic reply) could briefly cut through the frustration. Still, overall, I’m left disappointed and wary about trusting this service again.

    Social media marketing service

I bought a social media marketing service from Fiverr recently and honestly, it wasn't the best. The seller didn't communicate well, gave short responses, and didn't explain the pricing when I asked. It made me doubt if they really got what I needed and could deliver. Overall, it was just okay, not awful but definitely not great.

    Gig Rejection Frustrations

I had a really frustrating time with gig rejections on this platform. Even though I tried editing my gigs to meet the site's requirements, they kept getting rejected without any clear explanations. It's just not right that there's no guidance for a 20% fee. It's really annoying to see other gigs that are similar to mine getting approved when mine keep getting rejected. So, I've decided to take my business somewhere else.

    Article writing service

I recently bought an article writing service from this platform and it was a total bust. The freelancer I hired said they were an expert, but the work they delivered was really bad and not professional at all. I was super disappointed and frustrated with the poor quality. But I have to give them props where it's due - the customer service on Fiverr is awesome. Whenever I had a problem with a freelancer or got terrible work, the support team was quick to respond and resolved the issue by giving me a refund. This part of Fiverr is what I really appreciate as a buyer - knowing that my money is safe and I won't get scammed by shady freelancers. Big shoutout to the customer support team for being so efficient and helpful throughout my bad experience.

    Web designer hire

I hired a web designer from Fiverr twice now and it was amazing both times! It's really tough to find reliable web designers, especially with everything being online due to Covid. But then I stumbled upon this awesome freelancer on Fiverr and it felt like I hit the jackpot. The whole process was super easy, and I didn't even have to leave my house. And let me tell you, the quality was top-notch. I can't thank Fiverr enough for connecting me with such talented designers. They've really helped me elevate my online presence!

    Drawing of my pet

I really loved the drawing of my pet that Hunufa did, she totally nailed his personality! She was so friendly to chat with and kept me in the loop the whole time. But I gotta say, I was kinda thrown off when I saw the final bill was higher than the original quote. It felt like a sneaky hidden fee that caught me off guard.

    Logo design purchase

I recently purchased a logo design from someone, but it turned out really terrible! The colors were off, the fonts didn't look right, and it didn't even resemble what I requested. I expressed my dissatisfaction to them, but they insisted they did a great job and still took my payment. Can you believe that? It was such a hassle to get my money back, I had to go through countless emails with customer support. Eventually, they did refund me, but it was a major headache. It would be great if there was a simpler way to handle situations like this; maybe they could wait to release payment until we are satisfied with the work.

    Refund for incomplete job

I had a really good experience with the customer support team on Fiverr. So, I hired this developer but they didn't finish the job as I asked. I decided to get in touch with the support team for help. And guess what? They were super helpful and quickly gave me a refund. They handled the situation really well and it fixed my issue. I'm thankful for their help.

    Website build out

I spent a bunch of cash getting a website made by a freelancer but they were rude and late with their work. They even wanted more money after I already paid! When I tried to reach out for help, there was no phone number to call and the support was lacking. The freelancer wanted extra time to finish, but I said no. Even so, they gave me incomplete work and said it was done. I asked for my money back, but then they stopped talking to me. The customer service was really disappointing.

    Voiceover ordered

I just bought a voiceover on Fiverr, but it ended up being made by AI, which was a bummer. I reached out to Fiverr support right away because the person who said they did the voiceover had a stock photo and wasn't actually real. Even after showing proof and explaining the situation, Fiverr let the seller keep on tricking people. It's pretty worrisome that they're not taking responsibility and being upfront about this stuff. It makes me wonder if I can trust Fiverr anymore.

    Bought writing services

I purchased some writing services on this platform and I was pretty excited because the app seemed cool. But I was a little disappointed because I didn't receive many messages from people interested in working with me. There were only 20 other gigs like mine, so I was expecting more interest. In the end, I only got 2 messages and both declined working together. Well, at least the app itself is decent, I suppose.

    Copywriting services

I've been using Fiverr for a while now and I've had really great experiences with it. I've found some super talented freelancers who give me top-notch work on time. Of course, I've run into a few freelancers who weren't the best, but overall, I've had a fantastic experience. Fiverr makes it easy to find freelancers from all over and get the services I need quickly. I definitely suggest Fiverr to anyone who needs freelance services.

    Video editing services

I've been trying to sell my video editing services for a while now, and things were going pretty smooth until this one person just had to leave a bad review. It's ridiculous because they were upset I couldn't do something impossible for their Xbox game. Like, really? It got me so frustrated. And when I reached out to Fiverr's Customer Service, they weren't very helpful in getting rid of that unfair review. They basically told me they wouldn't remove it, even though it was clearly fake! Fiverr has been okay overall, but they take a chunk of money from both buyers and sellers, which isn't cool at all. Just a heads up, their Customer Service might not have your back when you need them!

    Digital marketing services

This company really supports you when problems come up with hiring freelancers. I've had a few bad experiences, but most of the time things have been good. It's important to watch out because some freelancers might lie about where they are and what they can do. I recommend chatting with them first to see if they get what the project is about. If there was just a way to weed out the fakes and scammers, this company would be top-notch. They acted quickly when I had a stalker situation, showing they care about keeping customers safe and happy.

    Marketplace buying and selling

Fiverr is a great platform for people who want to buy or sell stuff online. I've been using it for about ten years now, and it's made running my online business way easier. They take care of things like keeping my website up to date, making sure I show up in search results, and handling payments through PayPal and credit/debit cards. This lets me focus on just selling my services. But there are some areas where they could do better. Their customer support isn't great – it's hard to get help, and they don't screen sellers very well. This has led to me running into scammers and sellers who aren't on the up-and-up. One time, I had an issue with Payoneer (the payment processor they use) that ended up with my card getting canceled. Even after contacting Fiverr's support team, I didn't get any help, which was frustrating. Platforms like Fiverr need to take care of these kinds of problems quickly so that everyone can have a good experience.

    Coder purchase

I was really pumped to hire a coder on this website, they were supposed to help me with something major. Can you believe they tried to pull a fast one on me with sneaky payment tricks and didn't even finish the job? Luckily, Fiverr had my back and gave me credit for their bad behavior. Fiverr is awesome, I'll definitely give them another chance. There are cool coders on there, just watch out for shady business off the site!
