Three shirts, one headache October 16, 2026

By the time I was digging through my mailbox for the third week in a row, I had already learned more about Buy Cool Shirts’ customer service than I ever wanted to. I ordered two shirts because I needed them for a casual moving-day get-together with friends. Nothing fancy, just something fun to wear after a long week of lifting boxes and trying not to wreck my back again. I had ordered from another shirt site before and got burned by a terrible print job, so I thought I’d give this company a shot instead. Well, that was optimistic of me. When the package showed up, there was only one of the two shirts I actually paid for. There were also two free promotional shirts with their company name on them, which I guess was supposed to be a nice bonus. I mean, free shirts are free shirts, but they didn’t really replace the one I had chosen and paid for. The phone numbers listed on the site were disconnected, which was not exactly confidence-inspiring. So I emailed customer service and eventually heard back from someone named Rudy. He said there should have been a note in the package explaining that the missing shirt would be shipped separately. There was no note, but okay, things happen. I waited. And waited some more. About three weeks later, still no shirt, no tracking number, no update, nothing. I emailed again, and Rudy said he wasn’t sure why it hadn’t shipped. He offered a refund because enough time had passed, but I told him I’d rather get the actual shirt. That seemed pretty straightforward to me. A few days later, I was told the shirt couldn’t be sent because of licensing issues and that a refund had been processed. Except it was only a partial refund, so naturally I had to contact them again to get the full amount back. The weird part was that the design still appeared to be advertised on their website and social media. Maybe their licensing situation was complicated, maybe it wasn’t, but it sure looked available from where I was sitting. The most surprising part, and not in a good way, was the response I got after asking about it. Instead of trying to clear things up, I was basically told that I had received three out of four shirts and should be happy with that. But I ordered two shirts, not four. The other two were cheap promo items. That math felt a little creative. Eventually I was offered 50% off the original shirt plus free shipping, which seemed like a reasonable way to settle it. I agreed, then heard nothing again. After another follow-up, I was told the offer would no longer be honored and that I should not email the company anymore. Honestly, the delivery issue was frustrating, but the dismissive customer service is what made this a hard no for me. I won’t be ordering again.
