I was halfway through rinsing the new cartridge on the kitchen counter when I realized how fiddly these swaps can be. I needed replacements — the old filter had a faint metallic taste and I move a lot, so a 3-pack made sense. Installation was simple; it snaps in and feels solid, snug like the OEM. First couple pitchers had that odd "hose in sun" taste from loose carbon, but after flushing it the water settled and now tastes clean and mellow. Delivery was quick and I'm glad I bought it.
Filters that cause more work than they solve
I never thought a filter could be this fiddly. Use these in my home HVAC and change them about every 4 months — they’re supposed to be a routine thing, but assembling the QuikBox pack is annoying and I’ve nicked my finger more than once from misaligned pieces and glue stuck where it shouldn’t be. Packages tend to arrive with crushed corners or glue smeared, so delivery feels risky. On the plus side, Discount Filters’ customer service is consistently fast and helpful when I call or email; they try to make things right, which I appreciate. Still, the product design is poor and the price has crept up every order. I’ll keep buying because I need filters, but I wish the manufacturer and shipping packaging were better — it would save me time and a few bandages.
Service salvaged it

They sent replacements quickly, but the next shipment wasn't the right size, so I had to contact them again. They fixed it and now the filters work fine. Not flawless — delivery was the weak link — but usable every day.
